It’s no secret that I love to shop. I don’t always spend a ton of money and quite often I’m able to seek out some really great deals which helps to balance the more indulgent purchases. One thing I always look for in my clothing and accessories purchases is that the trend is a classic one for me, meaning that I will want to wear it long after Vogue says it’s in style.
I found some cute things in the last few days that I want to share with you!
From the Gap:
This drapey split neck top. I bought this top in white and the black. The Gap is always running some sort of sale so make sure you don’t pay full price!
Also, pay attention to the GapFit section of the store and/or website. I was waiting for the running vests to go on sale so that I could put one away for next year and finally scored a bright yellow one on clearance! It’s no longer on the website but I recommend you search the stores for the end of season winter running apparel.
This GapFit Breathe Off-Shoulder Ballet Long Sleeve Tee is on my radar too. I didn’t buy it yet but I think I will this weekend. It’s too cute to pass up.
From Forever 21:
This hooded utility jacket in the dusty pink. You cannot beat the price and its super cute for spring!
Flannel seems to be back in style for a while now but even more so in a major way lately which always reminds me of the early 90’s. I went with this pale pink and navy distressed buffalo plaid shirt.
And can I just say how excited I am to be wearing my favorite star platform sneakers again now that it’s warmer and most of the snow has melted?!
Platform sneakers are a major trend at the moment, one that I will gladly accept for years to come. I love the extra height and how they look with leggings and jeans! The Shoe Box has a ton of styles which you can check out here.

Who else likes to buy end of season running apparel on sale to put away for next year?
3 things you have planned for this weekend?
Do you plan to bake this weekend? I really want to make those cookie bars!
You always point me in the direction of the best clothing finds! I bought those pants from banana that you recommended and I love them! Ill have to check out this stuff as well. Have a great weekend!
I’m so glad! that makes me happy 🙂 Did you get more than one color? My mom keeps telling me to buy ever color of those pants since I love them lol
I love Gapfit clothes! Its a little pricey regularly so I only buy it on sale! They have pretty good sales, and the clothes are good quality but not lululemon quality (and therefore I’m not gunna drop lululemon dollars on it!). I’m volunteering with a children’s activity group, playing volleyball, and catching up on some work. I also want to try to bake! I’ve lived in this city for 8 months now and JUST bought flour for the first time last night.. so obviously I don’t cook or bake EVER. Haha! I want to try to make chocolate chip cookie bars too!
agreed on the quality compared to lulu but the running pants I bought from the gap this winter are definitely my favorite! And the sales really can’t be beat. I try to only buy gapfit when I can get half price which happens a lot. have a great weekend!
I love your style! I currently have a few things put away in my shopping cart at the Gap, so I’m definitely adding that ballet shirt. It’s so cute. I hope they have it on the Canadian site. I should check!
isn’t it so cute! let me know which color you get!
This weekend I plan to go to the Glebe markets, these really cool markets in the heart of Sydney, have a pasta party with my roommates (one of my roommates in Australia is Italian and her friends are making homemade pasta!!), and maybe take a ferry over to a nearby beach. Unfortunately, it is a rainy weekend here in Sydney. Today was my rest day, so I walked for about an hour while catching up with a friend..I was soaked, and we don’t have a dryer! No baking, as we don’t have much in our kitchen here. I would have to eyeball it all LOL I am not confident enough to do that
oh homemade pasta sounds delicious! enjoy
I love the drapey split neck top from the Gap. So cute.
Always was a fashionista and clearly still is
Love that ballet shirt. Super cute.
ha. I love it too but couldn’t find my size in the stores over the weekend!
