Happy Labor Day! I hope you are enjoying the long weekend even though it signifies the end of summer. I put my beach bag away for the season and that’s really sad for me.
Like, fall is fine and it also brings the start of hockey season but to me, nothing beats summer.
Last Week’s Workouts
I ordered a fresh pair of Brooks Ghost 14s (on sale!) in the exact same colorway. Running shoes are never bought for aesthetic purposes (at least they shouldn’t be) so it’s great when you actually like their appearance.
Bright colors are everything to me!

I wasn’t 100% sure that I needed a new pair just yet BUT after my run in the new shoes on Thursday, I knew I made the right decision. The cushioning felt so much better.
I’m still working my way through finding a routine that works for me now that I belong to Equinox. I was talking to my neighbor about it (he also belongs to Equinox) and he said it’s like being a kid in the candy store. There are so many great class options and you want to do them all. He figures I will find my routine soon. I tend to agree with him. I’m slowly getting there!
Monday – 5 Miles (treadmill)
I forget the workout I made up for today but it was speed intervals. I’m much faster on the treadmill than when I run outdoors so these treadmill runs lately have been great/energizing/tiring all at once!
Tuesday – Barefoot Sculpt
Wednesday – 3 Miles (treadmill) + Pilates
I bring my cute slides for pilates. After I run three quick miles before pilates on the treadmill, I change out of my sneakers into my slides. I also wear these slides to barefoot sculpt classes.

Thursday – OFF
Friday – 3 Miles (treadmill – easy) + Barefoot Sculpt
I loosely followed my easy run on the treadmill workout. After the first mile, I slowly increased my speed a little more than in the workout plan but still kept it much easier than my two previous runs this week.

Saturday – Spin
I learned I don’t love the barre class on Saturdays that is right after the spin class so I skipped it.
Sunday – Precision Walk + Pilates
This was my third week in a row taking the treadmill walking class! I really love it and it’s a great combo with pilates which follows right after the treadmill class.
