Last week was the first time in oh, nine years, that I didn’t keep track of my workouts in order to write a blog post.
I’m such a routine person that it’s actually weird for me to say that I’m tired of the routine of sharing my workouts each week.
We all know my workouts are happening. We all know I’m running basically every other day, filling in with walks and Melissa Wood Health on non-running days.
So for now, I’ve decided to take a break from sharing my weeks in workouts. Let’s see how I feel after some time away from writing down my exercise routine.
I will say that I ran four days last week if we look at Sunday – Saturday, 6, 5, 5, and 6 miles for each run.
I came back from Florida last Saturday night and couldn’t wait to run the next morning! I always notice that I feel antsy to run after a few days off.
I also ran on the boardwalk this past Saturday for the first time in three weeks. It was beautifully bright and sunny but I totally felt the end of July heat towards the end of the run. I wanted to run seven miles but felt like it made healthy sense to stop at six — I just know when I should keep going and when it’s best to stop. Why push it, you know?
My obsession with bagels and vegetable cream cheese after a hot, sweaty weekend run is still going strong. I’ve had a love/hate relationship with cream cheese over the years (cream cheese didn’t always agree with me even though I like the taste) but this classic combo is everything to me right now.
I truly believe the bagel and vegetable cream combo has become my best longer summer-run recovery food. SO GOOD.
In other news, I’ve been looking at some new workout apparel at Lululemon. Maybe I will write about this more later this week when I make some decisions but I want everything in hot sonic pink. I feel like getting a few new things in a pretty shade of pink will make the end of summer, which is quickly approaching, more bearable for me.
That’s it from me today, have a great week!
