Week in Workouts (less running than I would have liked!)

I hope you had a nice holiday (if you celebrate)!

My workouts from last week kind of speak for themselves below.

I would have run more but the weather wasn’t always in line with my plans. Oh and on Tuesday, I made the last-minute decision not to run because I wasn’t in the mood which was only an issue because I knew it would rain early on Wednesday. Oh well!

Last Week’s Workouts

Monday – 40 Min Yoga/Pilates Flow (1 lb weights + resistance band)

I ran yesterday which left me wanting to stay inside with a workout before starting my workday.

Tuesday – 20 Min Melissa Wood Health Combo + 40 Min Walk

I thought I would run today but then make the quick decision to go for a walk instead after a quick combo from Melissa Wood Health.

  • 5 Min Dancing Sock Series
  • 15 Min Standing Arms & Abs (1 lb weights)

Wednesday – 30 Min Dance Warm Up with Full Body Flow

The cardio warm-ups that are added to some of Melissa Wood Health’s flows really bring your heart rate up immediately. The rest of the flow is that much more challenging/elevated — in a good way.

Thursday – 5 Miles (outside)

I was off today so it was nice to run later in the morning — every minute later counts in the winter! It’s much better to run a bit later in the morning this time of year just so the sun has time to shine and warm things up ever so slightly.

Friday – 44 Min Melissa Wood Health Combo

  • 22 Min Power Yoga
  • 22 Min Power Arms & Abs (1 lb weights + ball)

It was lightly snowing outside this morning. I wasn’t sure if the ground was slippery so I stayed inside for a combo from Melissa Wood Health and then went outside an hour later for a quick walk.

Had I waited to run, I could have done so as it had stopped snowing and the ground was wet instead of icy.

Saturday – 43 Min Melissa Wood Health Combo

Another wet morning only this time, it was rain!

I wasn’t sure how many workouts I would combine but as usual, once I get started (and have time), I end up going longer than originally planned.

  • 16 Power Pilates (bodyweight)
  • 15 Standing Series (1 lb weights)
  • 12 Min Power Arms (1 lb weights)

Sunday – 5 Miles (outside)

It was sunny and pretty windy but not too cold today. I’ll take what I can get this time of year!
