First things first. Latkes. With applesauce. We ended up not eating the latkes from Trader Joe’s (they are still in the freezer) because we picked up these latkes from Stew Leonard’s. SO GOOD.
I walked into La Piazza unsure of which type of pizza I was going to select but quickly went classic with a plain slice. Once I saw the pie on the counter, it just looked so perfect.
It’s been a while since I shared one of the salads I make at home. This salad contained romaine, tomatoes, chickpeas, avocado, asparagus, and corn. I needed a change of salad dressings lately so I bought Italian dressing from Trader Joe’s. It’s very good.
Do you see my new tie-tye fuzzy slippers? I got them for Hanukkah – they are so pretty and comfortable!
I stopped at Town Bagel to pick up a chopped salad and was so happy to learn that they added roasted cauliflower to the salad ingredients options. It’s so fun checking off all of the boxes to create this salad that I don’t even know exactly what I picked. I think this salad was a mix of romaine, spinach, tomatoes, cucumber, chickpeas, green pepper, roasted red peppers, mushrooms, roasted cauliflower, and avocado. Honey mustard dressing on the side.
The multigrain maple raisin bagel (all salads come with a choice of bagel) is such a favorite of mine but once I started eating the giant salad, I ended up saving the bagel to have for dinner.
It’s worth noting that they chop all of the salad ingredients except the cauliflower and avocado. I’m not sure why, but it looks pretty. I typically dump the salad over into a larger bowl and then cut things up from there in order to eat.
Okay, this bagel for dinner was the best decision I’ve made in quite some time. I could eat this every night! I tossed the multigrain maple raisin bagel and topped it with a little mozzarella cheese, then mashed chickpeas and avocado, a sprinkle of everything but the bagel seasoning, and tomatoes. SO GOOD.
Who else is getting a snowstorm today and tomorrow?
