This week totally got away from me but hey, it’s now Friday and time for some favorites!
Yom Kippur begins Sunday at sundown and although most don’t look forward to the holiest day of the Jewish year because of the fasting part, I think about this holiday with fondness as my son was born on Yom Kippur in 2003, 17 years ago. Leave it to me to go into labor on a holiday when all of my regular doctors weren’t on call.
While it’s technically not my son’s actual birthday, I refer to Yom Kippur as his Jewish Calendar birthday. 🙂
This time of year is always an opportunity for me to share my favorite picture from my son’s first birthday party. The picture is my favorite mainly because I loved my son’s little outfit.
That tie-dye sweatsuit and those little Robeez shoes (with trains on them!) were just the cutest. He still looks so handsome in shades of blue today. He was a nice little boy.
Okay, so earlier this week I mentioned how refreshing it is to run in the cooler temperatures. Well honestly, I already miss my summer running and the humidity as I try to adapt to the sudden cold mornings. All I kept thinking early on this week when it was 45 degrees was that yes, summer is my favorite season for running. My hands are not ready for gloves season.
Rather than put my gloves on already, I opted for my lululemon tops with the “cuffins” (cuff over mitten) as a solution. I haven’t bought a new top with cuffins from lululemon in a few years (since the two that I have are so durable from season to season) but I see they do have this Run Briskly 1/2 Zip and this Fleece Flurry Jacket right now if you are interested. They both have cuffins on the sleeves and will last you for years.
Here’s a slight change to my usual pizza order! I didn’t get the whole wheat margarita slice and this isn’t the whole wheat vegetable slice from Villa Monte either. It’s the vegetable slice from Mario’s and it was delicious.
You’re welcome for finding you these Soft Knit Shorts with Stars from the Gap.
We all know I’m a sucker for a tote. I found this Easy As Sunday Tote from lululemon.
More masks from Stoney Clover! Love the pearls on the straps. I get compliments and questions everywhere I go wearing my Stoney Clover Face Masks. If I have to wear one, it should be pretty and special.
