Jumping right into Friday Favorites for this week! Have a great weekend. 🙂
My 6 Year Pure Barre Anniversary
I cannot believe that I didn’t mention this a week or so ago when I realized that it’s been 6 years of Pure Barre for me! I remember my first class so well back in the summer of 2014; Pure Barre has been my strength workout of choice consistently ever since.
I transitioned from in-studio classes to DVD’s to Pure Barre On Demand over the years and although the Pure Barre On Demand platform has morphed its way to Pure Barre GO which has been disappointing in terms of organization, I still love Pure Barre workouts so very much.
I remember writing my 3 Year Pure Barre Anniversary post in 2017 which is just crazy because now, it’s double the time since then! Six years is a long time to stick with anything so extremely consistently so if you ask me, that speaks for itself in terms of my opinion of a Pure Barre workout.
These three Pure Barre posts are top searches on the blog every single day:
If you have any questions at all about Pure Barre, please feel free to ask!
Islanders Hockey In Summer
The Islanders will play again today at noon and although I would much prefer it was later in the day, I still can’t get over that I’m watching hockey in the summer. It’s extremely odd yet enjoyable, even if I’m watching the playoffs in the middle of the day while trying to work. It’s strange, certainly doesn’t feel like traditional playoffs, but I will 100% take it.
^We stand for the flag
I can’t write up a Friday Favorites post without a little something Stoney Clover, right?! Stoney Clover Notebooks launched this week and they are completely customizable! So if you are in need of a notebook that you can refill the paper, comes with an interior pocket and spot for a pen, here you go. The best part for sure (in addition to the quality) is that you can design the Stoney Clover notebook with the patches you like best. You have a gazillion design options with everything Stoney Clover!
It’s time to mention my two most favorite mascaras. With a mask on these days, the only feature people see are our eyes so it’s important to have a great mascara to perfect the lashes.
WHY GLOSSIER LASH SLICK IS SPECIAL:
- Curls and sculpts as it lengthens, creating a natural “baby extension” effect without clumping
- Teeny-tiny fibers coat lashes from root to tip, while flexible film-forming polymers lift and lock each fiber into place
I’m telling you, the Glossier Lash Slick mascara is like nothing else. You have to try it. You will be fascinated at how it takes your lashes so easily (without clumping or getting messy!) and separates them so perfectly. It’s almost weird!
I’ve tried many mascaras and aside from Glossier Lash Slick, nothing else is as good as Dior mascara. To me, Lash Slick and Dior Mascara are two different types of mascara. In fact, one day I read that some makeup artists use Glossier first, and then for added volume and oomph, they top the lashes with Dior. Well that made total sense and yes I tried it and yes, it’s amazing! Who needs fake lashes?! Not only do you not need fake lashes, but I also find with this combo, I don’t bother to curl and don’t need lash primer either.
My advice: You do Glossier Lash Slick for every day and then add Dior on top when you are going out or want more drama to the eyes.
