Weekly Workout Recap (running + walking +barre workouts)

A quick look at my workouts from the week below including proof that I continue to leave my feedback for Pure Barre GO.

I cannot understand why they refuse to organize the workouts within the Pure Barre Go menu. It’s so annoying, which is exactly what I say in my comments. One day maybe they will fix it? I honestly can’t grasp what is taking so long aside from just assuming they aren’t trying to fix the menu. Maybe my daily comments will encourage the process. 🙂

Monday – 3 Miles/20 Min Pure Barre

Considering I ran 6 miles Friday and 7 on Sunday, I was surprised that I felt like running this morning. Just 3 miles and then home for a quick Pure Barre workout which focused on arms and abs.

Tuesday – 3 Miles/20 Min Pure Barre

Same idea as yesterday! It’s a nice little combo for a workout. A little running, a little barre.

Wednesday – 30 Min En Barre (from Lifetime)/50 Min Walk

Well, I ran three days in a row so it made sense to wake up not wanting to run. I went back to the Lifetime Barre routine and then went for a walk.

Thursday – 5 Miles (speed workout)

This was my first speed workout in quite some time! Here’s what I did:

  • 1-mile warm-up
  • 2 miles 1 min hard/1 min easy
  • 2 miles 2 min hard/1 min easy

I often alternate my thinking between miles and time. It works for me. I enjoyed this workout and felt great. If anything I did notice my breathing more than feel fatigued and I think I felt better with the 2 X 1 interval rather than the 1 X 1.

Friday – 3 Miles

Saturday – 20 Min Pure Barre/3 Miles/30 Min Walk

I started with some Pure Barre then took my son to work then came home for 3 miles which looked like this:

.75 easy/.25 effort

.25 easy/.75 effort

.25 easy/.75 effort

Cooldown to 30 minutes. I continued with a walk for another 30 minutes.

Sunday – 5 Mile Walk

I didn’t plan on walking 5 miles but it happened. Between nice weather, having some time, and being on the phone, it went so fast.
