Boardwalk is Open(!!) + My Sephora Order + Stoney Clover + Sales

Friday!

While Memorial Day Weekend is sure to look different from the usual experience, I’m still looking forward to the long weekend. The last race I ran was actually last year during Memorial Day Weekend. Obviously there won’t be any races this year but the boardwalk opened yesterday so we headed down to see what was up late yesterday afternoon.

The beach will be opening with restrictions and every other bench is roped off but otherwise, when you are there, you forget what’s going on in the world. Which is nice.

Long Beach boardwalk

I didn’t include the Long Beach 10-mile race that I normally run Memorial Day Weekend in my top favorite races post that I shared recently but I do like the race very much. Not so much for the lack of shade or how hot it can feel (or even for the distance these days!), more so because it feels like the unofficial start to summer for me. Hopefully next year the races will be back and I can run it! Listen to me saying I’m eager to run a race. I wouldn’t say eager to run any race, just certain ones in particular pull at my heart.:)

Anyway, I do have some favorites to share before we start the weekend!

Sephora Spring Bonus Order

I don’t believe I ever discussed my own Sephora Spring Bonus order on the blog. My Sephora order took longer than the usual quick shipping but once it arrived, my skin was so super happy. I was down to using some of my skincare samples that are on reserve as I had run out of many of my products so it was really nice to have my skincare favorites back in my cabinet!

Sephora order

I used the Sephora sale as my time to restock my favorites which are staples in my daily skincare routine:

Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Cream Moisturizer

Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Luxury Face Oil

Biossance Squalane & Peptide Eye Gel

Drunk Elephant Rise & Glow Brightening Duo

Drunk Elephant Been A Long Day Duo

First Aid Beauty Cleanser

The only new skincare product I bought during the sale was the Drunk Elephant F Balm Electrolyte Waterfacial. I definitely recommend this extra gentle, incredibly hydrating mask. You add it as the last step to your skincare routine and it melts right into your face. You don’t need to wash it off, either. Put it on at night and in the morning, you will see and feel the difference in your skin. The F Balm Electrolyte Waterfacial instructions say you need to use four to five pumps but I really only use one to two pumps – it’s more than enough for me on top of my other moisturizer. I would play with it to see how much you need rather than jumping to using five pumps.

Stoney Clover Launches A Fanny Pack

By now you must realize that my obsession with Stoney Clover is real. Although I’ve never been a true fanny pack fan, I’m about to get on board with the trend. Not only is the Stoney Clover fanny pack fashionable (and all products are so incredibly well-made), it’s so functional for summer activities. I totally want it for my walks on the boardwalk and I also picture myself using the Stoney Clover fanny pack in Disney World whenever it is we are able to get there again!

You can keep your fanny pack plain but Stoney Clover has so many pretty patches to personalize your fanny pack that I say play with the customizer before making a decision.

I designed us a few fanny pack ideas but you can use the customizer to design your own too. Please note that I do favor the glitter varsity letters and glitter hearts but there are so many more options!

I’m definitely getting the Out East patch (bottom left in the above Stoney Clover fanny pack photo) for this summer although not 100% on which pouch just yet that I will put it. The destination patches are so pretty and detailed, looking just like various cities and areas around the world. I have the New York City patch on one of my pouches already and love it.

See, the windmill in the Out East patch looks just like the windmills we when Out East in the Hamptons – I took this picture last weekend.

Fashion Finds (big sales this weekend!)

Splendid is running another 40% off (almost) everything sale. I won’t tell you again that my clothing from Splendid lasts forever. The styles are classic and the fabric is amazing so the durability is timeless.

Memorial Day spirit shines in this Star-Spangled pullover. I love the matching star shorts. Who doesn’t need a basic tee? I like the Hudson tee too.

Bloomingdale’s is running some nice sales as well this weekend. Gosh, I wish the mall was open already!

I love this paint splatter tee from Theo & Spence.

Nothing beats a bright pink this time of year.

Did you think I would write a Friday Favorites post and not include tie-dye?

All of the pretty swimwear I shared two weeks ago is on sale too!

Want these star-print joggers.

So this Rainbow lounge long sleeve top with the matching shorts are not on sale but they are cheaper than some of the other versions I’ve seen so it may be worth it since you can wear it at home or even out of the house.

Have a great weekend!
