It’s Friday! Like, okay, I know there are people who say the days of the week don’t matter at moment but I am most certainly the type who follows routine so to me, the days of the week still count. So what if I can’t go shopping or out to eat or to GET MY NAILS DONE this weekend. It’s still the weekend. I try to do things differently on the weekend in comparison to weekdays so that I notice I had a nice, calm enjoyable weekend, even if it’s different from the weekends I used to know.
I’m looking forward to staying away from my laptop, sleeping a little later, and watching Netflix (Fauda!!). Also, it would be nice if the weather pretended to be more spring-like. My walks have been brutal in the cold wind this week while wearing my winter coat. And that’s been the good walking conditions when it’s not raining. And running? That happened on Monday morning but not since. I’m hoping for tomorrow.
A few Friday favorites and highlights to discuss from the week.
First, the Sephora Spring Sale.
Have you taken advantage of the Sephora sale yet? You really don’t want to miss the sale prices as it only happens twice a year! Here’s the link to my post from last week outlining my top skincare and makeup picks.
Can I add a few additional things to my list?
Try the Mini Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lipstick and Liner Set. I love a mini set! It’s a good way to decide if you like a color AND great to take in your purse.
I tried a sample of Dior’s Lip Glow Oil and it feels so nice. It protects the lips while enhancing natural color.
I forgot to include the Supergoop Illuminating Cream Eyeshadow with SPF 30 on my list this year. I bought this eye shadow last summer and loved it. It’s a great product to have.
And to follow up on my mention of the new Drunk Elephant hair products, I finally tried the shampoo and conditioner. I’m not 100% sure what I think — I think it’s good but not as overwhelmingly great as Olaplex products. Please try Olaplex if you are looking for an awesome shampoo and conditioner. And the Olaplex at-home treatment is equally as awesome.
Excited About Kristin Ess In-Shower Gloss
Should I mention again that I can’t get my hair done? But did I mention I haven’t had my hair highlighted since December? Listen, I am beyond grateful to not be gray. Really, I am. BUT I could use some brightness to my hair right now.
I’m all excited because I ordered the Kristin Ess In-Shower Gloss and it did the trick.
I was a little nervous but kinda trusted that it wouldn’t mess up my hair. Here’s what the gloss does:
“This in-shower treatment deeply conditions hair, instantly boosts vibrancy and shine, and adds dimension to color-treated or natural hair. It will help your color stay fresh and your hair looking shiny and healthy between appointments.”
So you will need to browse through the gloss options as I can’t say which color to choose for your hair but I used the Golden Hour which totally brightened my hair. There were two blonde products to use and I went with Golden Hour but Winter Wheat might have been just fine too. It will not cover gray hair and will not color your roots. I truly don’t know exactly what it did (maybe just enhances the tone that is already there?) but my hair makes me happy right now which means it did something.
Fashion Finds
Over here still browsing my favorite fashion sites each morning to see what’s new and needed.
Who wants more tie-dye?!
Here are tie-dye high waist leggings from Target.
Have I shared these tie-dye pool slides yet? I don’t think so?
Tie-dye scrunchie or tie-dye headband? Or both.
OMG THIS TIE-DYE NYLON TOTE.
Tie-dye knot dress. Need?
In non-tie-dye news, this cute dress is from Target.
I love these elastic waist denim shorts from Generation Love – on sale! I also love shorts with long sleeves or a sweatshirt. This set from the Gap of the French Terry Hoodie and matching shorts looks so cute.
Adore these pink bow flat slides.
LOVE these elastic bow hair-ties!
