I don’t have a ton to say about my workouts from last week, just a few little notes:
I do love running in the Brooks Ghost 12. My feet are very happy.
It’s getting lighter out earlier and earlier every morning. Spring is on the way! I’m really looking forward to the extra morning light as it gives me more time (and energy) for my workouts.
I ran less than my average this week but it wasn’t really on purpose. I take each day as it comes and then based upon what I feel like doing/the weather, I make my workout decisions.
Monday – 30 Min Pure Barre
Tuesday – 5 Miles (treadmill workout)
I was excited to wear my new Brooks again today! This workout was not as formally structured as my usual treadmill workouts. I ran my standard 10-minute warm-up and then played with the speed and ranged the incline from my usual 1.0% up to 2.0% and back down to 1.0% throughout the 5 miles, finishing at around 42 minutes.
Wednesday – 30 Min Run/30 Min Walk (outside)
Thursday – 40 Min Pure Barre
Friday – 30 Min Walk
Saturday – 55 Min Pure Barre
I chose a longer Pure Barre workout at home in place of what would normally be a running day for me for a few reasons:
- It was frigid outside
- I had my hair cut and blown out yesterday
- The weather forecast after today was showing a warming trend
For these reasons combined, it made more sense to go with a Pure Barre workout today and then run the next few days outdoors rather than sweat up my hair this morning on the treadmill.
Sunday – 4 Mile Run/1 Mile Walk (outside)
I’m off today for President’s Day and my son is off from school all week. The weather is looking decent for mostly outdoor workouts (except I see rain in the forecast tomorrow) so I’m hoping to get outside for some runs — and walks too.
