Thoughts from my week in workouts:
I was a little more myself this week in comparison to last week when it came to my workouts. All runs were still easy, but some running days naturally featured more effort.
I’m still taking advantage of early morning outdoor time as much as possible right now. It’s been pretty warm in New York over the last few days and I can’t even recall the last time rain affected my workouts!
Pure Barre is still at a minimum but I do think that may change as the seasons change and I can’t spend so much time outside, or, maybe not. I may decide that the shorter Pure Barre workouts spread out over the week work better for me than the longer workouts, a few times a week.
I’ve given this a lot of thought and will ultimately go with how I am feeling. I’ve kept up my weekly Pure Barre workout routine now for OVER 5 YEARS. It’s okay for it to evolve, you know? My running has evolved, so it may be time for my Pure Barre workouts to evolve too.
Monday – 60 Min Walk/5 Min Pure Barre (thighs)
Tuesday – 5 Miles/5 Min Pure Barre (arms)
Still at 10:00 min/mile average pace. Totally fine with me, at least I feel like running.
Wednesday – 30 Min Run/20 Min Pure Barre (full body)
Returning a little more to normal in that I naturally increased my effort level a bit during my run.
Thursday – 60 Min Walk/5 Min Pure Barre (arms)
Friday – 4 Miles/10 Min Pure Barre (seat & abs)
I planned on 30 minutes but decided to continue on to 4 miles once I had the 30-minute mark.
Saturday – 60 Min Walk (maybe a little longer)
I helped my friend move yesterday so I was really tired this morning. Here’s the thing — I am not much help physically when it comes to moving but I did go up and down the stairs several times to assist with putting some (light) things away and I did show up with dessert so I do believe I am a big help, in my own way. : )
Here’s the cookie cake, in case you are interested. We topped it with cookies & cream ice cream. IT WAS DELICIOUS.
Sunday – 5 Miles/10 Min Pure Barre (thighs & seat)
Have a great week!
