Friday Faves + Brooks Launch + Fashion Finds

I’m SO HAPPY it’s Friday!

I knew this week would be somewhat of a struggle in that I had a lot of work to do which I had to balance with my son being home (school ended last Friday for him) combined with the excitement of packing him up to leave this weekend for his summer program. In place of a teen tour this summer, my son is spending a month at a college. He gets to take classes, live on campus, and still have that teen tour experience since they plan activities and touring type things at night/on weekends. For privacy reasons, I won’t say much about this or which college he is at until he is back.

Not to mention, I have to pack myself up as well as Heather and I have some fun summer adventures planned! More on this probably to come via Instagram. I’ve been pretty terrible at keeping up my posting to Instagram but hopefully, I get back to it over the next several days.

Anyway, this week really went okay. My son sleeps late and I work my best early so the balance between the two worked out really well. He’s basically packed so now its time to figure out what I want to pack for myself, get my nails and toes done, and then we are off.

My Favorite Pizza

If you are tired of seeing my favorite whole wheat margarita pizza, then you probably haven’t experienced it for yourself yet. It’s just so delicious, even my son has started to switch to ordering this margarita slice too!

Brooks Launch 6 – Old Glory Collection

The Brooks Launch Old Glory collection reeled us in. I mean, how pretty and patriotic are these running shoes?!

We all know that my feet have been loyal to Adidas Energy Boosts since 2013 but lately, I’ve sort of been feeling like I’m in need of a change. I’ve only run once so far in the Brooks Launch but I can already tell that I love how they fit. I’m a nut when it comes to my feet and my running shoes but these feel right. Light yet cushioned, firm, yet springy, supportive in all the right spots.

We’ve got the women’s AND men’s version of the Brooks Launch going on — I will give you the male perspective once he runs in them enough to provide us with some feedback. 🙂

Fashion Finds

I’ve been all over the place with my shopping and browsing this week as Heather and I figure out what we want to wear while together over the next week. I always have what I need in my closet but I also always think I need something new.

I actually bought this Tie-Front Star Print Dress from Aqua yesterday. Super cute and summery. Did I need it? I don’t really know, but it certainly can’t hurt to have it.

Love how perfect this CHASER Flutter-Sleeve Tee is for summer, as well as this Heart Print Tee.

These sweatpants go with my new running shoes. 🙂

I swore I would never own a belt bag but Heather and I have been talking about them suddenly. Maybe a convertible type? Like this convertible belt bag from Marc Jacobs.
