Cinnamon Raisin Bagels + Kristin Ess Products + Tie-Dye

I’m so glad that it’s Friday! And so glad that I feel better. By yesterday, I even felt my appetite return to pretty much normal. It was getting weird to not be hungry, or even when hungry, not really want to eat anything.

I had to give major thought to what I would really feel like eating during those moments when nothing appealed to me and here is what I came up with:

A toasted cinnamon raisin bagel with butter and jelly.

Once that combo came to mind, I quickly ran out to the bagel store to grab two cinnamon raisin bagels. I bought two cinnamon raisin bagels because I know myself – once I want something, usually I want it twice.

This picture cannot do my cinnamon raisin bagels justice. I was trying to capture how fresh and soft they were which obviously is impossible to capture in a picture! But my goodness, they were still warm and soft to the touch that they bounced back at me when I gave them a little squeeze. Nothing like a New York bagel. Just saying.

In terms of my return to running after being sick, I did run a little on Wednesday. Nothing crazy, it was more of a walk/run but I think it was a nice little return to help me get back to normal. I wasn’t ready just yet for a sweating workout but I think that today I am. It’s kinda hard to want a good sweaty workout when you aren’t eating normally for yourself, you know?

Moving on to important Friday Favorite news!

I had been reading all about the Kristin Ess product line available now at Target so once I spotted it, it was time to give it a try! I bought the Kristin Ess The One Purple Shampoo and The One Purple Conditioner.

So far, I really love both products! The purple shampoo/conditioner combo is for blonde hair and is similar to what I was using from Goldwell and even Kerastase, for less money. I like the Kristin Ess version better for two reasons: First, the scent is amazing. And second, it lathers so well when washing. My highlights look bright and vibrant, and my hair is soft.

I also bought, based upon reading the reviews, the Kristin Ess Style AssistBlow-Dry Mist. It’s supposed to cut down on drying time, add shine, and smooth out the hair by detangling and sealing up split ends. I’ve used it once so far and I think I can really see a difference in the way my hair looks after blowing it out myself. The scent matches the shampoo and my hair simply smells amazing, even the next day.

Also from Target, I spotted this long-sleeve cropped tie-dye crewneck sweatshirt.

If you haven’t gotten on board with the latest tie-dye trend (I never got off the trend, always been a fan!), it’s time. Tie-dye isn’t going anywhere, in fact, it’s starting to spill over into other areas, like events. I think I’ve told you this before — trends from the fashion world always spill over into trends that are seen in wedding and event design.

In more tie-dye news, I love this Aqua tie-dye hoodie or this one in lighter tie-dye colors and I love this tie-dye bodysuit. The athletic tie-dye leggings are pretty too. This tie-dye tank is available in three colors.

Have a great weekend!
