Workouts From Thanksgiving Week

It’s been a busy Thanksgiving weekend so I’m quickly checking in with my workouts from the week and hoping to have another post up tomorrow.

Monday – 6 Miles

It wasn’t too cold this morning which was nice. I started out very slow. While I was on the phone for the first 2 miles, I don’t think that was the problem. I was just feeling slow. After I hit 3 miles though, my legs woke up and felt more like themselves. At 5 miles, I figured I would go home but then I ended up continuing the cool down to 6 miles.

Tuesday – 45 Min Pure Barre

Wednesday – 5 Miles

I felt pretty blah throughout this run, not really sure why. PMS probably. It was an effort to pick up my pace! Side note: got my period right after this workout which totally explains how I felt!

Thursday – 60 Min Elliptical

It was like 15 degrees outside and I had that time of the month crampy feeling going on so the elliptical sounded like a nice idea for movement. I totally felt better after this workout and even stayed on much longer than usual!

Also, where was everyone? I was the only one in my community in our gym. I guess they were busy cooking for Thanksgiving.


Friday – Gym Day

Another cold morning but I didn’t feel like Pure Barre so I headed to the gym. I chose the elliptical again for 30 minutes followed by some upper body free weights. Before leaving the gym, I got on the treadmill for 10 minutes of incline walking. I would have stayed longer but I had to leave – I really do like incline walking!

Note: I didn’t run on the treadmill because I didn’t feel like it. I figure I can run tomorrow outside as it’s supposed to warm up a bit.

Saturday – 7 Miles

It was right around freezing and sunny outside so I was able to run outdoors. This run felt nice! I stayed really consistent which I was amazed by when I saw my splits at the end of the run as I pretty much zoned out the entire time.

    I ended up walking on the treadmill on Friday too, and added some inclines. It makes it feel like a real workout! I used to use the elliptical all the time when I went to the gym but now its no longer an option. Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving!
