Friday Favorites: Pizza + Fashion + Dior BACKSTAGE

Happy Friday! I’m very excited we have a 3-day weekend coming up and even more excited that school starts next week. 🙂

Even though school will only be in session for 3 days before the Jewish Holidays begin which give us off the next Monday and Tuesday and scattered days after that, it’s time to get back to some sort of routine already. While I usually don’t want summer to end, this year I’m feeling ready for fall!

Friday Favorites

Favorite Fitness:

I would love to pick one workout as a favorite but my overall favorite fitness was the intuitive feeling of doing whichever workout I felt like doing in that moment. I’m really at a point where I completely do what I feel like doing. Not what I think I should be doing, what I think I will feel like doing once I’m doing it, or what I think I should do according to my workout schedule. Total intuitive exercise going on over here, a topic I don’t see discussed very often, right? It’s usually more about intuitive eating.

I’ll recap my workouts on Sunday but for now as an example, I normally would have run yesterday but really just felt like a walk. So that’s what I did. It was really nice! And now this morning, I think I feel like running.

Favorite Food:

I was in the city twice this week and had to have this corner slice of pizza in Chelsea Market on Wednesday when I saw it. Just looking at the picture makes me want another piece.

Favorite Fashion:

We’ve had a heat wave here all week so walking the city with temperatures in the high 90’s along with matching high humidity can be truly unbearable. Surprisingly, I felt comfortable in this outfit!

navy skirt

I don’t have a specific link to the navy skirt from Forever 21 but the sleeveless blouse is part of the Riley Tailored Super Stretch collection from Banana Republic. Also wearing my jeweled sandals mention in this post but I think they are sold out by now.

I wore the long-sleeved version of this sleeveless blouse in a similar way with a skirt a few months ago. I love to tie my tops to add the cuteness factor! I think I’m going to buy a few more of the long-sleeved version of the shirts and some new skirts to make up new outfits for fall/winter. When I get my act together, I will share them in a post.

Favorite Find:

The Dior BACKSTAGE Eye Shadow Palette has been on my list for a while now! Only available at Sephora, this Dior eye shadow palette seems to be the collection used by Meghan Markle for the Royal Wedding. It’s an, “an all-in-one eyeshadow and primer palette with eight blendable shades in matte and shimmer finishes.”

If you are a Beauty Insider, you can get this Dior BACKSTAGE eye shadow palette right now with your discount! I’m a huge fan of Dior eye shadows as you probably already know. They really go on and stay on like no other shadow so if you haven’t tried Dior eye shadow yet, please do. You will then understand.

As part of the Dior BACKSTAGE collection, they also have this BACKSTAGE Glow Face Palette which is a quad of blush and highlighters as well as this Dior BACKSTAGE Contour Palette.

Have a great weekend!

I am so ready for some down time this weekend! I can’t go out of town anyway because my son’s bearded dragon is sick and has to have injections every day for 5 days 🙁 Boo!

I REALLY love summer, but mostly because I’m a teacher so I have time off of work and with my fam, but now that I’m back to work, I am so over this hot weather!

    Have a fabulous long weekend!

That sleeveless blouse is really cute! I bet it would work so well under a blazer without having to deal with sleeves, also. I am ready for fall! It finally is starting to feel like it, and I’m ready to go shopping for some fall clothes. I’ve worn jeans a lot this week which makes me so happy.
