Friday Favorites! (August 10, 2018)

I actually meant to share a post yesterday but then I overslept so I never finished it. I rarely oversleep but we had more thunderstorms around 3:00 AM yesterday morning which woke me up for a while so by the time I fell back to sleep, I overslept a bit and ended up more tired than usual which always happens to me if I am up at 3:00 AM! Ugh.

Ah well, at least today is Friday! I put together a few favorites from this week, a week that feels as though it went by very quickly (not complaining!).

Favorite Fitness:

It’s actually hard for me to select a favorite workout this week. My runs have gone well even through the heat wave but Pure Barre on Tuesday was pretty great too. I did a 50 minute sculpted arms Pure Barre workout which I haven’t done in a really long time! I always say the arm-focused barre workouts are the best because they literally work every body part at the same time, basically the entire workout. So effective!

Favorite Food:

How boring am I becoming? Or is the word predictable, rather than boring? Or maybe I’m becoming boring and predictable when it comes to my food choices?

We ate out most nights this week. Not every night, but most nights. 🙂

Favorite Fashion:

You probably already know how I LOVE this Generation Love Embellished Cut Out Tee!

Well it’s on sale again if you still want to get it! I love to wear my hair in a bun with this shirt because of the satin tie in the back around the neck which of course I didn’t get a picture of but if you click the product link, you will see it. I wish they had more shirts like this! It has become my go-to top when I don’t know what to wear.

And yes, I was in the underwear department. I am always buying new styles and colors and fabrics. Can’t help it.

Favorite Funny:

I hung out with my friend’s daughter the other afternoon. When I say hung out, I really mean hung out. Like, she’s almost 14 and doesn’t need a babysitter but I was going shopping to a few stores so I asked her if she wanted to come with me. We have a really good time together (she’s one of us girls for sure!) and her mom (one of my best friends) was at work so hey, I was technically helping out even though she didn’t need helping out. We didn’t buy makeup and she didn’t spend any money so I technically wasn’t a bad influence in any sort of way like that although we laugh way more than we should together because  again, she’s only a kid but I forget that most of the time.

What were we laughing about? Well, among other things, I think this text that she sent me yesterday will help to explain.

I mean really, who is going to actually answer a number they don’t know? How did we ever live without caller ID? Maybe we were a kinder society back then because for sure I do not answer numbers I do not know. I barely answer the numbers I do know. And of course I taught her that we decline the unknown number calling us to then google the number to see who it was. We do not actually answer it and say hello. No way.

Have a great weekend!

Do you answer phone numbers you don’t know? Do you google to see who it was?

Any fun plans for this weekend?

I don’t answer calls from a number I don’t know either! Especially if it’s from a random state that I don’t know anyone in. I assume if it’s important then the person will leave me a message so I don’t even bother looking it up on Google.

This weekend is supposed to be rainy so probably a mini movie marathon at home. Have a great weekend!

I get so many spam calls now that it just makes sense to screen them! My theory is that if they really want to talk to me, they will leave a voicemail. We are theoretically going camping this weekend, although it will be interesting to see how that goes based on our fiasco last weekend!

Thats too funny that she sent that to you, but its great you guys have that relationship even though she is your friends daughter! I do the same thing though… never answer unknown numbers and google it.

I never answer numbers I don’t recognize! Especially if they are from a weird area code. I have had a really hard time staying asleep lately and thunderstorms in the middle of the night make it so much worse!
