Quick Look At What I Ate Yesterday

Just a really quick look at what I ate yesterday!

Obviously no breakfast pictures since I gave up remembering to take them! Maybe worth reporting is that I add organic strawberries in the summer to my post run bowl of oatmeal with the blueberries in place of diced apples. My breakfast is very similar to this recipe, only with the addition of strawberries in case you are interested.

So I worked from Panera in the middle of the day which meant lunch while working had to happen. This time I went with their greek salad plus avocado and a side of hummus. I don’t love their greek salad dressing and even the salad was just okay this time around. Sometimes it’s bigger and better than others.

Out for dinner is the story of my life right now!

Once my son is home, I can’t even see myself starting to cook again. It happens to the best of us, you know? My guess is that I will find some sort of happy medium where I pick up a lot of prepared foods (maybe from Whole Foods?) and heat them up to mimic the concept of cooking. At least for a while until I want to do full food shops and plan out his dinners/argue with him regarding which type of chicken he will eat that I make.

Anyway! Can’t think about it now.

Last night I had dinner at The Cheesecake Factory. You would think it was an ordinary meal but it wasn’t because the couple next to us was clearly on a first date and the guy COULD NOT STOP TALKING. We think he liked to hear himself speak so he kept on speaking and we kept on listening to the point where we realized we didn’t say a word at our table the entire time because we were too busy listening to the ridiculousness that was coming out of this guy’s mouth. You have no idea.

We had to text each other across our table to ask questions about their conversation because it was so unbelievable and we needed to ensure we were all on top of the details accurately.

At one point I spit out my water from laughing. I couldn’t help myself! It was way too funny and I was trying hard not to laugh but my goodness, I couldn’t take it anymore!

I didn’t really feel like dessert but we couldn’t leave because their stories were getting too good. Would you believe The Cheesecake Factory was out of Linda’s Fudge Cake? I don’t think that ever happened to me before.

We went with the Blackout Cake which was my original favorite before I switched over to liking Linda’s Fudge Cake more. Even with the recipe change to Linda’s Fudge Cake last year, I think it’s still my favorite.

And that was my day yesterday!

It’s always so funny seeing people on a first date. That poor girl didn’t get a word in from what it sounds like! I’m going to guess there will not be a second date haha.

I’ve actually never had cake at Cheesecake Factory since I love getting cheesecake haha.

With regards to Panera, I feel like the size of their salads isn’t consistent. I actually stopped going there since the portions are smaller and the prices are too high for what you get, at least in my opinion!

I have definitely had the experience of barely talking to the person you’re eating dinner with because you’re too busy listening to the monstrosity that’s coming from the table next to you. It happens to me all the time! I don’t go to the Cheesecake Factory often, but when I do go, I usually try a new cheesecake. I’m a big cheesecake fan, so that usually works for me.

I’ve definitely had meals like that! I never try to eavesdrop but sometimes you can’t help it. Panera’s salads don’t seem as big in the past, so I customize them with extra greens if that’s an option.
