Not a lot to say in this week’s workout recap! I ran less this week with 3 days instead of my usual 4 and chose Pure Barre two days in a row simply because I didn’t want to ruin my hair with the sweat that happens from cardio vs. a strength workout. 🙂
Monday – 5 Miles (treadmill)
I went with the treadmill for today because there was a weather advisory already issued for the hot and humid conditions.
While running I came up with a fun progression-style treadmill workout and hope to share soon!
Tuesday – 5 Miles (outside)
It was still hot and humid but the sun wasn’t too bright yet so I opted outside. It felt like running through soup but I did ok as I was just looking to run easy.
I even remembered to get back to my running shoe rotation and wore my Saucony Rides! They are so super comfortable. 🙂
Wednesday – 30 Min Pure Barre
I had energy but a very short attention span for a work out. This is why I love Pure Barre On Demand — there are so many options to meet my needs on any give day! I chose a 30 minute Pure Barre workout in place of a longer workout and I was very happy. Sometimes the shorter workouts are a little more intense and include less stretching segments so you feel like you are putting in the same amount of effort as a longer routine, just in less time.
Thursday – 45 Min Pure Barre
Another new to me Pure Barre workout! It was such a good one too!
Friday – OFF
Saturday – 7 Miles
It was a damp, misty morning. Not hot, not exactly cool – somewhere in between.
I was on the phone for the first few miles and then just settled in to zoning out for the hour while listening to music.
Sunday – Pure Barre

Are you good about rotating your running shoes?
Thank you for the reminder. I also need to get back to my running shoe running. I have been neglecting most of them.
I am thinking I should have run yesterday instead of today. It was supposed to rain so I figured I would switch things around, but this morning was so hot and humid, plus the sun was out in full force! I feel like all my runs outside have had to be at an easy pace lately in the heat.
I think it’s time to swap my running shoes. My feet are starting to hurt right in the middle and across the entire arch. Hopefully it’s just the shoe and not my stride. 🙂
