Happy Friday! The week has been one busy blur over here so the fact that the weekend is here makes me really happy. I put together a few Friday Favorites to share today, let’s take a look!
First, here’s another photo from the New York luncheon I attended/worked on Tuesday. I very quickly browsed through the photographer’s photo gallery from the event (gotta do a more in-depth look for work this morning) and was so amused when I saw this picture of me leaning so far over. I don’t even remember taking the picture!

Favorite Fitness:
I chose a 45 minute Pure Barre workout Tuesday morning, one that I had never done before and I really liked it. It’s nice to have such a wide variety of workout choices in the Pure Barre On Demand menu!

While all Pure Barre workouts follow the same class structure (warm up, core, arms, thighs, seat, core) all exercises and position combinations will vary. Many exercises are similar, but no two classes are the same. For some reason, I found this particular workout to feel like it incorporated a wider range of varying positions and combinations. Plus, I felt sore the next day from whatever it was that was slightly different!
Favorite Food:
I think you already know that I always order the exact same salad (the barbecue ranch chicken salad – no chicken) at The Cheesecake Factory — for almost 20 years straight now. Like one time in 1999 I ordered something else, didn’t like it and wanted to do my dinner over so I NEVER made that mistake again.
Until now.
At the age of 40 I have gotten adventurous and decided it was time to order something different. I’ve had my eye on the Vegan Cobb Salad since it debuted on the menu (maybe last year?) and I finally ordered it now, twice.
The first time that I ordered it (a couple of weeks ago) I really loved it. So, when my son and I went to The Cheesecake Factory for dinner last night, ordered it again! I definitely recommend this salad if you are looking for something different to order that is filling, colorful, and healthy.
^ In the salad are beets, asparagus, avocado, quinoa, farro (but I didn’t notice farro yesterday?), chick peas, and tomatoes. I order it without almonds and sunflower seeds.
Favorite Funny:
My son had a regents review class to attend the other afternoon. First he told me he would be there at least 3 hours so I figured I had plenty of time while he was there to do what I needed to do. I even went to the mall (shocker, I know).
Then suddenly he texted me to say come sooner than planned which was still fine on my end because I had what I thought was another hour. And then suddenly it was come in 20 minutes, and then hurry up he’s finished.
Fine. I left the mall. Here’s a glimpse at the conversation and you will see why it’s funny.
Sometimes he really pisses me off and sometimes, I find things like this funny. I couldn’t help but laugh – you rush me and rush me and now that I’m here it’s, ok be out in a few?! I wasn’t done in the mall!
Speaking of the mall, you would think that I would have a favorite fashion find for us today but I do not, even with all of my browsing. I’m in the market for a few new summer tops, a new pair of nude heels, and maybe something else but what that something is, I’m not really sure. But I need it.
I love to chat fashion and share the links to the things I like or find but I’m not going share links just to share them. I do hope that you can appreciate this as I never want to share something that isn’t what I actually bought, want, or recommend. Hopefully by next week I will have new shoes or tops to report! Actually you shook things up quite a bit this week: a new restaurant order, a new workout and shopping without spending?! You make me want to go to a mall and try on clothes.

It’s hard to branch out at a restaurant when you find something that you love on the menu. The vegan cobb salad sounds and looks good!

Me too! I don’t want to waste what should be a good meal although I am glad that I finally tried a different salad!
