This week went kind of fast. I’ve been so incredibly busy, in so many directions, with so many things, that it doesn’t shock me to turn around and it’s Friday. Not complaining! I need some downtime. Actually, after yesterday’s post about junk drawers, I have a feeling that I will spend tomorrow morning cleaning out the junk drawer AND organizing my kitchen pantry…in place of a long run. I’m sure I will want to run a few miles OUTSIDE because the weather will be warmer than it’s been but I’m not planning to run long which means I’ll have extra time and energy for some cleaning.
Favorite Fitness:
Oh boy am I loving with the longer Pure Barre routines again! You would think that I’m paid by Pure Barre to write about their workouts all of the time. I’m not. I just really like barre workouts and like to tell you about it.
I enjoyed this 1 hour Pure Barre Pure Results (focus on abs) workout on Tuesday –it left me sore all over for two days!
As I’ve explained in past posts, the Pure Results workouts have an extra focus on a specific area so for this one, it was abs/core. It’s still a full body workout, especially when it’s extra ab work. My goodness, even my heart rate was getting up there.
I think it’s amazing how I can still end up sore from Pure Barre considering I’ve been doing the workouts consistently each week for 3 1/2 years now!
Sunday’s workout recap post will go into more detail about how my workout routine is changing. I’ve run a couple of times this week but right now, I’m alternating cardio days with Pure Barre days and really like it.
Favorite Food:
I’ve been so good lately at cooking more often rather than going out to eat. However, my son and I stopped at Chipotle the other night for dinner so it was a nice break from making dinner.
Is there anyone who doesn’t order guacamole on top of their salads at Chipotle? I feel like it really completes the bowl.
Favorite Fashion:
I’m going away next week and really felt the need for a new type of small daytime purse that can fit everything I need. I always want to get one of those smartphone crossbody wallets but they never give me a space for my glasses! Or keys! Or tampons!
This Metallic Phone Wallet (from Bendel of course, my latest obsession) solved the problem. There are so many awesome features here!
There are two zip around sides – one that serves the purpose as your wallet with slots for cards, money and a zippered part too. Then there’s the lipstick holder in the center (!!) and a side pocket behind the zippered compartment. The other zip around side easily fits a phone, my glasses, and tampons! What I really love is that my phone actually fits in the pocket on the wallet side, leaving me with plenty of room in the other side for other random items like keys, candy, whatever.
The wristlet strap is removable so you can totally use this as a larger wallet inside a tote/travel bag. I chose the gold color because it’s such a great neutral. Metallics blend and go with everything!
I really love the quality/durability of Henri Bendel accessories. Their price points are amazing when you factor in their quality in addition to the fashion. You can spend a crazy amount more for Prada, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton yet, in my experience, all of my handbags/wallets from those brands have required new zippers and linings to be repaired. Recently, I couldn’t even get my Louis wallet fixed – the repair price was higher than the original wallet price.
Favorite Find:
A few nights this week I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn’t go back to sleep. I was very happy to find Sex and the City on E! at 2:00 am! This is a good find and a bad find because then I was up longer than I should have been watching television. 🙂
Lots of good looking recipes this week!
Vegan Whole Wheat Banana Bread Chocolate Chip Muffins
Vegan Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Muffins
Whole Wheat Lemon Roasted Broccoli Pizza
Roasted Sweet Potato Bulgur Bowls
30 Minute Asian Style Turkey Meatballs <- Maybe my son would eat these?!

Will you be running indoors or outdoors this weekend?
I feel like a minority in the world since I don’t like guac! With onions and tomatoes (at some places) it in then it’s a no from me. But I do really enjoy avocados. At Chipotle I have to get the hot salsa. It’s so yummy in my opinion and I love the extra flavor it adds.
I have a Kate Spade wallet similar to the Bendel one and I love it – used it for the past four years or so. I’ll even throw it in my pack when we camp or hike. I like that crossbody bag from Bendel!

Some times I get the guacamole on the side, but I never skip it.
And now I want Chipotle.
