Friday Favorites 1/12/17

Anyone else THRILLED that it’s Friday? I sort of feel like the fact that it’s Friday is the most major Friday Favorite of all today!

Favorite Fitness:

My foot is looking so much better! I think it really needed just about two weeks to get over the fact that I dropped a full shampoo bottle on it in the shower. Still so ridiculous.

I may try running a few miles on the treadmill tomorrow but haven’t decided just yet. It’s either that or I will wait until after my recheck at the foot doctor on Monday.

Right now, I’ve really been loving Pure Barre (no surprise here) and not overly upset at this point that I have yet to run in 2018. This unexpected break from running has actually been awesome.

I think I enjoyed the Pure Barre Pure Results Arm Workout the most this week. It’s an hour-long workout which focuses on arms/upper body while still running through the usual Pure Barre routine. I rotate between 3 lb weights and 5 lb weights in Pure Barre but trust me, the light weights and even body weight work is no joke.

Favorite Food:

All week I kept thinking that my 5 year blog anniversary needed to be celebrated with cupcakes. I wanted to get a bunch from Baked By Melissa like these but then I never made it there! They are now on the agenda for the weekend. 🙂

Okay we need to discuss these adorable Gap Star Print Joggers!

So here’s the story with these star print joggers. I found them online and wanted the black immediately but they sold out of my size BUT they had Heather‘s size so she ordered them. Heather and I often shop online at the same time early in the morning while texting each other what we see and need.

I was able to order the gray (I’m still waiting for them to arrive) but I am still watching for the black to come back in stock!

Heather was kind enough to share a picture with us so we can see how cute they are! She said that these Gap sweats are really comfortable and fit more like sweatpants than a true jogger. She also said that the stars are barely noticeable so unless you look up close, they aren’t glaring at you.

Heather also asked me to mention these OOlala flip flops she bought recently which have relieved all heel and arch pain she had been experiencing. These flip flops were recommended to her by her local running store when she explained her issues with heel and arch pain. While not the most fashionable, it seems these sandals help to reduce the stress on sore feet, knees, and joints. Heather said the relief was immediate and has changed her life!

Going back to my love for the Henri Bendel Influencer Tote. If you need a nice, durable bag to carry your laptop and belongings, this Influencer Tote is it.

So your laptop will fit on one side (it’s made to hold it so it totally fits/belongs there), then there’s a middle zip section for important belongings, plus another side spot where I put my lifeplanner. The whole Influencer Tote then has one of those hidden snap/magnetic closures so it’s all closed up when you walk around. There’s an option for a cross body strap too but I haven’t felt the need for that yet.

I am still considering some of the pins for the tag like maybe this letter M or the stars & hearts. They also sell this Influencer wallet on a string that can be worn on its own or snapped into this tote. So much options here!

I’m so glad your foot is looking better! I’ve been looking for a nice tote bag for traveling and will definitely check out that ones from Henri Bendel. I love the taupe color of it. The only plan for this weekend is 7 miles tomorrow. I might make a library run to stock up on books but we shall see. Have a great weekend 🙂

Those joggers are really cute! I need to get another pair of joggers/sweatpants soon. I’m so glad your are feeling better! My weekend plans are 10 miles tomorrow – first post marathon/post-op double digit run! – and skiing on Sunday. It snowed a lot yesterday so hopefully the slopes are good!

    Cute bag!
Tomorrow I’m running with a local group on a mesa overlooking a huge park, it’s a beautiful run! I’m not sure about Sunday yet, but maybe it should be a rest day 🙂 My 13 y.o. daughter and I have a hair appt today! Yay! And then a date night with the hubs and no work on Monday, so I am super excited that it’s Friday too! Have a fun weekend!
