My Cold Stone creation from last night has nothing to do with my workouts but it’s a holiday weekend so we can do things differently today. 🙂
I created a new personal Cold Stone creation which if you know me, is crazy! I’m a creature of habit and will order the same Cold Stone combination FOR YEARS. But not this time!
This time, I wanted m&m’s, Reeses Pieces, chocolate chips, fudge and whipped cream mixed in to the French vanilla yogurt. I will definitely do this combination again and yes, it felt nice to order something different!
Okay, time to talk running and Pure Barre from the week…
Monday – 60 Minutes Running (6.5 Miles)
It was a beautiful morning with a chill in the air. I just ran for an hour listening to music without really thinking about the fact that I was running.
Tuesday – 5 Miles/Pure Barre
3 miles turned into 5 miles followed by Pure Barre. I combined three different 5 minute Pure Barre workouts: arms, abs and seat.
Wednesday – Pure Barre/3 Miles Treadmill
My morning began with a 35 minute Pure Barre workout. After Pure Barre, I wanted to run 3 miles quickly so I headed to the treadmill with a goal of 3 miles in 25 minutes. I finished in something like 24:45 which felt great.
Sometimes I really do like the treadmill and find it really perfect for running fast. I didn’t do much of a warmup but after starting fairly easy, I settled into 7.5 during the second mile and then finished the last mile holding 8.0 – 8.1.
Thursday – 8 Miles
I started out with underwear issues which sent me home within half a mile to change. Whichever pair I was wearing was just not cooperating in terms of placement, let’s just leave it at that.
Once I made the switch, I felt better and ran 8 miles which totally flew by. Like I don’t even know what to say about this run because I don’t know where it went.
Friday – 5 Miles/Pure Barre
It was beautiful this morning! In the 50’s and sunny. It felt so nice so I leisurely ran 5 miles before coming home for a quick Pure Barre workout.
Tone in 10 Workout: Seat & Abs plus a 5 Minute Thighs workout. I love combining the shorter Pure Barre workouts!
Saturday – 11 Miles
When I spoke to my dad later in the morning, he asked me how my long run was. I paused (and he said sarcastically – here we go – because he knows sometimes I can end up chewing his ear off with little details no one actually cares about) but I didn’t have much to say.
How WAS my long run? It was fine? I think that because I have zero expectations lately during just about all of my runs, I don’t have much to say. No complaints, no little details to report. I just run where I am comfortable 99.9% of the time which really leaves me with not much to say other than “my run was good.”
Sunday – Pure Barre
I swear I am getting around to reviewing the new Pure Barre On Demand! It’s on my list. One of the features I love about Pure Barre On Demand is that they are always adding new workouts. And, when they add a new workout, I receive an email like this one from Friday.
You can be sure this is the Pure Barre workout I will try this morning!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend. 🙂

Ever have underwear issues while running? Do you go home to change?
Any big runs or races taking place this weekend?
It’s been so long since I’ve been to Cold Stone, but M&Ms were one of my favorite mix-ins also. I am so picky about underwear for runs! I can only wear certain pairs.

I just went to Cold Stone and I haven’t been in years. I ordered a chocolate and peanut concoction and it was wonderful!
I don’t usually wear underwear with my running shorts, just my tights and I only have certain ones that I’ll wear. I once chafed on a super long/hot run so I have definitely changed things around after that!
Today was 4 mi on the treadmill and then 10 planned with the hubs and a friend but they ditched me and I finished the last 3 solo, which is fine because it gave me some good reflecting/prayer time by myself.

I love running where I’m comfortable 99% of the time too, and it’s so nice to come back from a run and feel adequately exercised but not overly exhausted. 🙂
And you make SUCH amazing Coldstone mixes. 🙂 They have delicious ice cream.

My go to goldstone is simple and never changes. Chocolate with recess peanut butter cups. And my underwear gives me no problems . HAHA

Sounds like this week was awesome fitness-wise. I feel like the workouts that feel effortless but also result in a rush of endorphins are the best ones. Also that Cold Stone creation sounds DIVINE! Don’t they have some contest for combos? You should def submit! 😉
That’s a cold stone combination I can totally get down with. Yum.
