Earlier this week I went to the Gap to find the GapFit barre top that I shared in last week’s Fashion Finds post but they didn’t have my size. I went to three Gap stores actually in one day looking for it!
I know I know, I should just order online but I don’t actually like to shop online when I can go to the stores and see things in person.
Not to worry, I discovered some new items at the Gap to buy instead. I cannot even get over how well I have been doing at the Gap. It feels as thought it has been years since the Gap was a store I could walk into and find things that I liked. Now it happens all of the time!
Gap Finds:
Supersoft Knit Short Sleeve T-Shirt Dress – This dress appears like one of those dresses that looks like NOTHING on the hanger but may be so cute once you try it on. Like, it’s either going to be shapeless and funny looking or super cute.
This dress turned out totally SUPER CUTE. I definitely recommend you give it a shot! The dress comes in a few colors but I bought the black. I think it’s the perfect dress to have in your closet because you can wear it casual or dress it up. It’s perfect for work and I can already see wearing it a multitude of ways this summer. Make sure you get it on sale though!
Softspun Knit Cross-back top – I love this top! It has a slightly open back due to the strappy styling (sort of like the backs of the work out shirts trending right now).
I bought the gray and went back for the black, that’s how much I like it. It can sit slightly off your shoulders and looks really nice if you wear one of those bras with straps that are meant to be shown. I paired the gray sweater with a bra that has white straps and I picture wearing the black sweater with bra straps that are pink. So many options here!
Linen Front Tie Tee– I bought two of these tops (white and pink) but had to return them for the next size.
I like my tops a little bit little longer these days but the XS was not that long on me (I am 5′ 4″) so I went with the small for the length.
And now I want this Gap Breath Off Shoulder Ballet Long Sleeve Tee. I can’t find it in the stores so I will have to order online!
Calorie Counting – I love Kylie’s posts! Please read this if you struggle to get away from calorie counting.
Running For Fitness vs Running To Race – Excellent comparisons for understanding the difference and how each affects the body.
The CEO Email Strategy – I definitely feel we should set hours for checking email.
How To Know If An After Work Hours Crisis Can Wait – We should not be working around the clock.

21 Kid-Friendly Vegetarian Recipes
Pasta With Mushroom Bolognese Sauce
Brownie Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies – I used to make these “pillow” cookies all of the time!
Have a great weekend!

One of my favorite workout tops is from Gap! They have some really cute options. Thanks for the link share, too! I think it’s an important topic- it’s too easy to feel “less than” on Instagram if you aren’t running miles upon miles upon miles.

I really really really want to love American Eagle but their stuff does not look good on me. I’m not sure if it’s the style or the cut, but I love what it looks like on the hanger and NOT on my body!

We went to a Patagonia store a couple weeks ago and it took a lot of restraint not to buy tons of clothes! The same with Prana right now. I love their sweaters and pants.

i loved that calorie counting post too!! I spend a lot of time “in the field” so I love super cheap lightweight clothes, Old Navy I think is the best for that! Also, H&M is good too. I don’t have a strict schedule really so I kinda work around the clock, always writing and replying to emails. That’s how it is in academia and research. Even on vacation people expect you to reply, but it depends what projects you have going on I guess.

I remember you mentioned Gap fitness apparel before and I have yet to check it out. I am in need of some new spring fitness clothes.

I’m probably way too minimalistic about clothes; I haven’t gone clothes shopping in a long time. I love Oiselle (a bit expensive) for athletic clothes. :o) Thanks for sharing Kylie’s post; I’m going to read it!
