So before getting to my workouts from the week, I just want to quickly chat again about GapFit stuff!
I am still LOVING the GapFit gFast winterbrushed leggings, they are so PERFECT for winter running. These pants are just so soft and comfortable and still do not slide down at the waist which is the most important thing, right?!
However, I did get another pair of GapFit pants, (these gFast spacedye high rise leggings) and unfortunately, they do slide down at the waist and I can’t get them any smaller which is really annoying for running so I save them just for Pure Barre.
Oh, and I also bought this GapFit Breathe Pullover Hoodie and really like it. I think I will get a few more colors! It’s very comfortable with a good fit and washes well.
Monday – 8 Miles
Since we had off today, I figured I would run a little bit longer while I had the opportunity to do so outdoors.
Tuesday – Pure Barre Pure Results (55 Minutes)
I realized that I had run five days in row so I knew that I would need a day off from running at some point during the week before my long run on Saturday to avoid major burnout and fatigue.
Today became the best day to skip running in favorite of a longer Pure Barre workout because I was having a good hair day and didn’t want to ruin it.
Wednesday – 7.15 Miles
I mentioned this run in Thursday’s post when I said I run sometimes to keep me from thinking. I set out for a speedy, aggressive run that I defined as a pace that isn’t a race pace but is fast enough to stop me from thinking.
Clearly I started out too fast as you can see in the splits since they ended up positive. Normally my splits will go negative when I give myself a few miles to warm up!
Thursday – In the Gym (5 Miles)
This was my first in the gym workout in like two weeks!
3 miles < – 2 mile warm up, one mile a little fast
*free weights/lower body strength stuff
2 miles < – sort of fast (between 6.8 – 7.5)
*squats and things like that
I love these types of in the gym workouts that I create for myself, especially in the winter. The treadmill can get tiresome and repetitive so when I can’t get outside often, mixing the miles up indoors with strength sets in between is really energizing to the routine.
Friday – Pure Barre/4 Miles
I went with two Pure Barre Tone in 10 Workouts because combining a few 10 minute workouts sounded mentally appealing.
Tone in 10 Combo:
- Full Body
- Seat & Abs
After Pure Barre, I headed to the treadmill for 4 easy miles since it was snowing outside.
Saturday – 11 Miles
I made it outside for my run and finished before the major snow started! They said it was like 23 degrees with a wind chill in the teens but I didn’t really feel it as I was bundled in my layers, scarf, hat and favorite fluff over mittens. I don’t know why lululemon stopped making those mittens, they are the best!
I took this picture when I finished my run but now it’s covered in like 9 inches of snow.
Sunday – Pure Barre
I figure I will be shoveling a bit today too. Ugh, I am so not on the mood for winter!workout recap! #running #purebarre #treadmill #snow #fitfluential #workoutrecap Click To Tweet
