Friday Favorites – GapFit, NARS & Kisses

My Friday Favorites have been super popular lately so I am glad that I have another round of things I am loving this week!

Friday Favorites

GapFit gFast Winterbrush Leggings:

I never in a million years thought that GapFit apparel would make it to my favorites list but O-M-G do you need these GapFit gFast winterbrush leggings for running this winter!

GapFIt gFast winterbrushed leggings

My workout apparel posts normally talk all about my love for lululemon and how I never wanted to buy GapFit apparel again because the pants always slid down or didn’t feel right.

Well, I gave these gFast leggings a try because I had a major discount at the Gap to use and I am SO GLAD that I did.

Seriously, these gFast leggings are like second skin. They are SO SOFT (they have some sort of warm winter lining without being too heavy) and fit as if they aren’t even on my body yet they do not slide down. Lately my lululemon pants don’t stay in place and start to slide down in the crotch area. I am constantly tugging and pulling to adjust things while I run which is super annoying.

What I love about the GapFit gFast Winterbrushed Leggings:

Midrise: I thought I liked a high-rise pant for running but I am preferring the midrise much better. They still sit in a good place that isn’t too low (which is maybe because I am not that tall but who knows).

Winter lining: The winter lining keeps the legs warm but I promise, there is no extra bulk.

Pockets: There’s a back pocket zipper in the waistband (which is a must for me!) plus side zip pockets too.

Comfort: Seriously, I put these leggings on and they just feel right. They do not slide down and fit true to size.

Price: I think they are marked $66.95 but the Gap is always running a deal and right now, I believe you can get them for half price or even cheaper! That’s like 3 pairs of leggings for the price of one pair from lululemon!

NARSskin Moisturizers:

I mentioned that I switched to NarsSkin back in October and I am still obsessed with their moisturizers, including their eye cream.  NARSskin products are noticeably more hydrating than any skincare product I have used in the past which is especially perfect this time of year.

During the Black Friday sales, I ordered a new container of NarsSkin Aqua Gel Luminous oil-free moisturizer (for the face) and the NarsSkin total replenish eye cream.

While I do realize that skincare products can be expensive, I totally find spending money on taking care of your skin super important. Skincare products (and good makeup) are not the extra-if-I-have-the-money type of expenditures for me like a new shirt or pair of shoes can be.

These skincare products are the part of my routine as the this-is-what-I-need-to maintain-and-survive-life type of purchases. I mean, who wants fine lines, wrinkles and to appear as if they are aging? Not me.

Hershey’s Kisses:

Ever since the holiday party the other night when I took some Hershey’s kisses home from the candy buffet, I can’t get enough.

Once we finished the candy bag that I brought home, I went to Target to buy a nice big bag of Hershey’s Kisses (the plain chocolate! not the other kinds!) because they are totally our thing right now. 🙂

Yeah, I used to be an anti-Gap body legging person because I paid so much for a pair that do NOT fit right. But now you’ve convinced me to get these ones! I get those online coupons all the time. I’ll snag a pair when I get a good solid 50% off coupon! Thanks Doodles!

My current pair of running tights (full length ones) is from GapFit – some pairs slid down but this pair of gFast stays put! I’m super tempted to see if I have coupons for these. It’s been so cold in Seattle that I’m now wishing I hadn’t given away so many pairs of running tights when we moved!

What experience do you have with the sizes on Gap clothing? I’m 5’5″ and pretty thin, and my sister (same body size) has always said that they didn’t work for her.

so they didn’t work for me until this latest round of experimenting with them! I think they must have changed something because this style isn’t sliding down on me and fit well. I say true to size but if anything, they may run ever so slightly big as compared to lululemon. I am 5’4″ and take the XS if that helps any. I think they are worth a shot! I really like them
