You have no idea how this site has tested my patience over the last ten days! Each time I think things are running smoothly and back to normal, something else pops up.
I am so over dealing with the technology side of this blog that I have even settled for some of my older posts, including Monday’s post, to include photos that aren’t displaying correctly.
As important as this blog is to me, there’s only so much energy one can devote to certain situations that a few photos out-of-place isn’t the end of the world. However, the fact that search engines have stopped indexing my site (I know, I am speaking another language) is leaving me enraged and ready to explode.
Just so you know.
Let’s talk about what I ate yesterday!
Breakfast:
Just the usual early morning coffee with oatmeal and banana. I take the oatmeal straight out of the refrigerator as I usually have a few servings already made for the week.
I heated up half of this bowl of oatmeal with half of the banana mashed in along with the coffee. I also had water, I drink a lot of water when I wake up in the morning.
A couple of hours later, after getting my son off to school and running eight miles, I had the rest of the oatmeal mixed with berries, Skoop and peanut butter in this almost empty peanut butter jar.
It’s a good thing I like eating my oatmeal out of these empty jars since my dishwasher is still broken! I am currently waiting for the new dishwasher to arrive so let’s just say it’s been a long week mixed with plenty of paper plates and empty jars to avoid using my regular dishes as much as possible.
Also, that spoon you see is another one from my son’s baby spoon collection. A Big Bird spoon!
Lunch:
So last week I experienced a bunch of hungry days and now this week my appetite is sort of missing.
Actually it’s not really missing, it’s just not raging.
I had zero idea what I wanted to eat for lunch and I wasn’t even that hungry or craving anything in particular. I almost had another bowl of oatmeal as lunch but then I noticed the butternut squash that I bought the other day staring at me from the kitchen counter so I decided to finally do something with it.
I roasted some of the butternut squash with brussels sprouts and asparagus but I still really didn’t know what I was having for lunch.
Like, what was I having with this plate of roasted vegetables?
Somehow I ended up toasting a slice of cinnamon raisin Ezekiel bread and using it to make a small egg sandwich. I think it even hit the spot.
Just remembering now as I type this that I had a few apple slices with peanut butter after lunch while listening to a webinar for work < – no picture.
Dinner:
I made eggplant cacciatore last night as part of our Recipe Challenge!
We will chat it about it more on Friday but it was delicious. I also added some roasted butternut squash to the recipe since I had it cut up already from lunch.
Dessert:
No matter how I try to come up with different nighttime snacks, I still gravitate back to my favorite apple, peanut butter and chocolate chips.
And yes, I went back for more peanut butter and extra chocolate chips. A few times, because that’s how I roll. If you have no idea what I am talking about, check out yesterday’s post on the topic of disordered eating and stuff like that.
Be sure to check out what everyone else is eating today too and if you haven’t entered my $100 Visa Gift Card Giveaway, head over to that post! It’s a good one – Quick & Easy Plant-Based Stir Fry Recipe using Success Rice. 🙂

Anyone else having blog issues lately? Is Yoast telling you that search engines can’t index your site?!
Who went back for more chocolate chips last night?
What’s for lunch today? Do you know yet?
LOVE your Hello Kitty Coffee mug!!

I’m so sorry you’ve been having blog issues! That is the worst. Salmon salad is on the agenda for lunch today..woohoo!

ugh, it’s totally the worst! I hope it resolves itself soon
Boo for having blog issues, that can definitely be super frustrating. My appetite was the same way last week, I kept going to bed hungry and was starving all day long, this week not so much. So weird how that happens. Butternut squash and brussels is a combo I haven’t done in awhile, and it’s so good. On the menu for next week 😉

love butternut squash and brussels sprouts, such a great combo
I used to really dislike lunch, but it’s gotten a lot better now that I’ve just been doing smoothies and ABJ sandwiches. Apparently I’m all of 12 years old at heart 😛 And that really sucks about the blog issues 🙁 I’m hoping it’s just due to the move and it’ll all sort itself out soon.

I hope you are right. I cannot figure out the index thing at all. and I don’t like lunch time but sometimes I find something that hits the spot.
Blog issues are so annoying! That’s one thing I don’t like about being on West Coast time, blog issues can happen for hours while I’m still asleep. I’m making the eggplant cacciatore today or tomorrow and am excited about it – yours looks so good!

loved the eggplant cacciatore- remind me to discuss with you today!
I almost put chocolate on my cereal last night. 🙂 And I’m so sorry that you keep experiencing site issues; I really wish I could help you. <3 I'm thankful you still got to post a 'WIAW.' And what's the recipe challenge that you're doing?

Remember Laura and I started doing a recipe challenge for ourselves each Friday to commit to trying new recipes? We didn’t post a recipe in a few weeks but we are back in action this week! Look for the post this Friday 🙂
I wouldn’t even know what to do if I started having website issues, or computer issues of any sort. I am not that smart with techy stuff! I need to go buy some veggies and start roasting them. The weather turned hot again here for this week but by the weekend it’ll be cold and rainy and perfect for using the oven.

omg consider yourself super lucky if you haven’t had site issues. I am literally pulling my hair out already.
How do you know that search engines aren’t indexing your site? I never knew that was something you could check. I went 4 days without opening my laptop and it was really nice. So if my blog was down or I was having issues I wouldn’t even know! Your food looks so good and gets me in the mood for having some home cooked meals again.

ugh,it popped up in a message from yoast about the search engines. and then I noticed my top 3 viewed posts each day from search terms weren’t appearing! I can’t figure it out but I think it happened because of something that went wrong last week with my old server. don’t ask lol
I haven’t roasted butternut in so long and now craving it. Also Brussels sprouts! Oddly your blog opens well on my phone but the laptop is not displaying correctly. These blog issues flat out suck.

That’s so weird that you’re having issues like that with search engines! I’d be interested in hearing what the issue was if you get it sorted out. Blog issues can be such a pain!

Argh, I’m so sorry to hear about the on-going site issues- In regards to the indexing, have you reached out to google support? That is often the case with multiple plugins conflicting. I’m on my laptop now (Chrome) and its all showing up pretty smoothly. Check to see which plugins you’ve installed in the last couple of weeks.
Feel free to shoot me a message if there’s anything I can do.

so the issue won’t be seen by viewers, it’s something with search engines finding my main page. does that make sense? I am losing my mind! media temple can’t help me, no one can see the problem or where it lies! it’s possible it’s a plug in. I have taken a few off and I guess I will continue trying to figure it out. if you have any idea what it could be, please let me know your thoughts! google even says my site isn’t mobile friendly but it is!
Maybe it is this mercury in retrograde stuff because my dishwasher has been sucking big time. Half the dishes come out dirty still. It’s starting to really piss me off.
My lunches have been random snack plates lately. It works, and it’s easy.
mercury in retrograde is awful to me this time around! inconveniences rather than “big” problems but still, the tech inconveniences are enough to do me in
