Hello from Boston! My original plan was to post yesterday morning but then my wifi internet connection wasn’t working right so instead of fixing it, I used it as an excuse to take a break.
I drank my Starbucks coffee (there’s a Starbucks here in the hotel) while watching the snow come down and it was quite enjoyable. I should disconnect my own internet more often.
It only snowed an inch and then turned to sleet and then rain but the weather has not stopped us from enjoying the city of Boston for everything it has to offer.
I will recap our trip a bit more once I have some time to edit photos and fully chat but we have been having the best time exploring the city and last night we got to go to a Bruins game at TD Garden. They weren’t playing the Islanders but it was still a great time and the fans at TD Garden are awesome.
And their pizza is quite awesome too. Look at this thing!
I am completely out of touch with what day it is but I do know that 2015 is about to come to a close. I tend to think New Years Eve and all its hoopla is totally overrated but I did put a few highlights together to count as some sort of 2015 blog highlight recap.
I didn’t overthink the list (and didn’t have time to look at the stats that WordPress sent me this week for the year) because I really loved each and every post so picking “favorites” wasn’t going to work. I went with the race recaps and some of the more popular reader-favorite posts from the year but gosh it’s hard to recap a year when you post almost every single day so I won’t even try!
The Races:
I ran three races this year. Doesn’t it feel like I ran more than that?
Aspire 10k < – I plan to run this 10k race again in March! I hope it’s not snowing though this time.
Long Island Half Marathon < – After running this half marathon three years in a row, I am done with it for now — or so I thought. I won Laura’s coaching giveaway (OMG so excited!) so there’s a chance I choose to use the coaching services to train with her for this race to break my PR. We will see. As soon as I decide, I will let you know!
Great South Bay Half Marathon <- I do want to run this half again, it’s a great race course.
Running-Related Posts:
It’s clear that you love my fun and random running workouts just as much as I do so I am going to try to create some more for us in 2016.
This year, my favorite was probably the Negative Split Running Workout.
There are a bunch of other good running workouts which I keep organized in the workout section of my running page so head over there for the complete list!
Other popular running posts this year:

It’s always good when my favorite recipes are also the most popular recipes:

I roasted some frozen broccoli just the other night actually.

How are you? What have I missed?!
Have you been to Boston?
What’s on the workout agenda for today?
I went to bed at 2 and my son decided that morning was at 4 this morning, so for the LIFE of me, all I can manage to think is, I wonder how much it would cost to have a Starbucks built into my house, like the one in your hotel. Because that sounds mildly amazing. Hope you continue to have a great time in Boston!

Ugh, I recall those mornings with my son. Not fun!
Now that’s a slice, lol. I love the custom box for it! Such a great year of posts from you–I think some of my favorites have to do with you discussing your divorce, simply because I think you have such a great perspective on your experience, even though I hope I never have to use any of the advice!

Aw thanks. I hope you never need the advice either (you won’t!). It’s hard sometimes to keep up the divorce writings since it’s been so many years for me now but every now and again, things come up worth discussing so hopefully I have some more posts about the subject this year.
I feel like a few people I know were at the game last night! Its really nice to take a forced break from the internet sometimes. I need to do your negative split workout again soon, I kind of forgot about it! Enjoy the rest of your trip:)

How funny that you knew people at the Bruins game the night we were there! It was a great crowd. I am so glad you ran that workout this morning! I should do it tomorrow.

Glad you got a little internet break – I’m hoping my trip brings the same and that I don’t freak out 😉

I hope you are unplugging and not freaking! You need the break.
I love the city of Boston, it’s such a good mix of historical stuff, shopping, entertainment, and proximity to Cape Cod 🙂

Yup, it’s all of those things! Such a cute city, so different than NY
I’ve been to Boston twice, and it’s such a cool city. I hope you have a lot of fun! Vancouverites don’t like the Bruins that much. :/ Ha ha! But that pizza looks worth it.

We NY fans don’t really like the Bruins either but it was still a good time. Such a cool city! Happy New Year!
Ahh I hope you’re having SO much fun in Boston! I can’t wait to hear all about it!

Boston is a really nice city, I hope one day you get to visit.
Never been to Boston, but it’s definitely on the “to-visit” list. NYC is first, though 😛 I hope you’re having the best time! But I also selfishly hope that you come back soon because I MISS YOU!

Enjoy Boston!
That pizza looks absolutely excellent! And I loved Boston when we went there when I was about 7 or 8. The history is fantastic!
