The Tofu Buff Bowl at Noodles & Co.
A chocolate caramel apple from Kilwin’s is as good, if not better, than the chocolate covered apples from Disney World.
When there’s so much good chocolate to go around, you don’t limit yourself to just one dessert.
The Kilwin’s fudge guy talked me in to the just made, still warm, sea salt caramel fudge.
Uh huh. SO delicious. Even after my chocolate caramel apple. And oh, after I tasted this chocolate fudge frosted brownie from Torta Fina.
Yes, I satisfied my sweet tooth just fine thank you.
Saturday’s run by the beach made me love my Mizuno Wave Enigma 5’s even more than before. They took a long time to break in but now, with each run, I am happier and happier with them.
I packed my post run cooler with watermelon and the mandatory post-run oats in a jar. After a run at the beach, one must refuel and hydrate immediately. And put on a light weight sweatshirt because I get cold from sweating in the heat.
I saw this lunch bag at Denny’s (a children’s store here in New York) and I sort of want it for myself. It’s insulated and really roomy too!
I still can’t get my grocery shopping down to a science and that has to change. I am tired of going to Trader Joe’s every other day although maybe it has something to do with needing watermelon.
Instead of going to the beach yesterday, I chose some me-time in the form of working in the morning and hitting the mall in the afternoon which meant window shopping while enjoying a Red Mango parfait.
I needed clothes (as usual, it’s a never ending hunt) but found none so I went with some makeup stuff instead.
And now it’s Monday which I am not exactly in the mood for but apparently I have no choice. Sometimes I really miss being a kid. As if the cupcake lunch box wasn’t evidence enough of that.

Do you remember your lunchbox from when you were a kid? Which cartoon was on it? Mine was Cabbage Patch Kids!
Favorite kind of fudge?
What’s your favorite way to spend time by yourself?
I’m having the exact same experience with the mizunos and wear them for almost every run. I might have to look for that lunch bag for one of my girls, super cute 🙂 I can’t pick just one flavor of fudge, too many good ones.

OMG your girls need the backpacks and lunch bags from Denny’s this year. so so cute! And what’s with our Mizuno’s, isn’t it crazy how long they took to break in and now feel great?! Whatever the reason, I am really glad.
I haven’t thought about my lunchboxes in forever. I would imagine that I likely had a Power Rangers one and a Scooby Doo one. Need to ask my mom. I like the Noodles and Co Buff Bowls! Except that I wish the Bangkok curry one had cabbage in it, like the regular noodles do. Sad face.

I like this bowl but wish they had more variety. I don’t love anything else on the menu.
I don’t remember anything about my childhood lunch boxes. But I feel like these days they are so much nicer/big/better insulated etc! (Not that we really cared about that stuff as a kid). All your food looks amazing.

So many nice lunch boxes out right now, especially over the last three years or so. Many more options for us adults, probably because people are trying to eat healthier/pack lunch for work.
Loving that lunch box! I had a pink and purple one in elementary/middle school that I lost at camp eventually, then started using the ones my parents had in the “lunch box cabinet” in our house when I was in law school to tote snacks around, meaning one from LL Bean that’s navy and red and 30 years old, and a big snazzy one from a Ritz Carlton in Florida 🙂
I need to find a Kilwin’s. Can’t believe I’ve never heard of them, but I guess not as popular in my area of New England. I keep seeing Sarah post photos of ice cream and drooling!

I know, Sarah totally promoted Kilwin’s to me! I have a lunch box cabinet too 🙂
Best kind of fudge is peanut butter fudge! I have a serious craving which I’m hoping to fix this weekend 🙂 Best way to spend time alone is manicure/pedicure or a massage. Although I love love love shopping, I tend to spend too much money if left alone for an extended period of time 🙂

I am the same – totally enjoy a manicure and pedicure plus massage. The best. I can have a shopping issue too only lately I cannot even find something to buy!
It’s nice to see that Red Mango made an appearance. I used to bet on seeing it weekly. What’s been going on? Oh wait I know.. you’ve been eating all that chocolate. Which um.. looks delicious!!!
Hahaha – I actually had Red Mango twice last week only I posted one of those photos to instagram and not the blog. Not to worry, I am still aiming for at least once a week!
Strawberry Shortcake lunch box! My favourite way to be alone is to run (duh), sit in the sun by the water on a chair and drink Corona and either listen to music or read a book. Ahhhh. Bliss.

I think I had a Strawberry Shortcake lunch box too! Aww so cute!
Love the cupcake lunchbox! And getting grocery shopping down is one of my ultimate goals. I usually only try to go once a week to make sure I stay within the budget I have for me and my boyfriend, but by the time Friday night rolls around it feels like we have no food! I am still trying to figure out how much he eats. It’s frustrating because he goes out to lunch more often than I do, but won’t tell me weeks he plans on packing or eating at home. Ugh!

I totally get your grocery frustration! Totally. I am trying to get a better handle on what we eat too, it’s a neverending task.
Have I ever told you how jealous I am that you can enjoy all the desserts while you’re out and about? Dratted allergies 😡 And if you didn’t buy that lunchbox, you definitely should have! I actually can’t remember what was on mine as a little kid… but I’m thinking it was probably My Little Ponies <3

YOu have told me and I feel terrible about it for you! I loved My Little Ponies, I would still play with them if I could.
A HUGE yes to all of the chocolate. And that ice-cream… can never get that image out of my head because now I want some multi layered froyo!
As a kid I LOVED cabbage patch kids. I thought they smelled like the bomb <3.
When I am alone I like to read and walk outside. Honestly being introverted, I enjoy doing anything by myself. However there are a great deal of things that are much more fun when you have others to enjoy it with as well.
I know that smell – loved my cabbage patch kids!
I had those apples once at Disney… oh my gosh so so good! I need to find something similar here up North but haven’t found any good chocolate shops!

Chocolate covered apples are sometimes hard to find but Kilwin’s has them and sometimes other bakeries do too if you look hard enough, especially in the fall.
And I just got diabetes of the eyes.
Thanks alot. That is one epic fudge place and I lol’d when you said Denny’s. Haha, the CHAIN. I can’t even remember my lunchbox, except it was huge and always overpacked….with a banana on the side.

I never knew what the food chain Denny’s was because to me, it was the clothing store 🙂
You can’t NOT try the freshly made fudge at Kilwins! I swear they make the best everything. It hit the spot on Friday night and I’m going again tomorrow ha. No shame. But you already knew that. I run and then I eat a ton of ice cream. #balance

The guy talked me into the sea salt caramel which would never be my first choice but it was awesome!
My lunch box wasn’t anything special. I think it was just purple. And I don’t think I have ever had a funky flavored fudge. I need to find some!
