Peanut Butter & Banana Protein Bites

Quick snack recipe for you today!

These little peanut butter & banana protein bites are perfect any time of the day.

peanut butter and banana protein bites

Healthy and packed with protein, I will go as far as saying that you can throw a few in a baggie as your breakfast on the go or reach for one (or two) as a midnight snack.

Or crumble into yogurt, on top of banana ice cream or dip them in melted chocolate <– great idea right here.

I am sure that I am not the first to combine these staple ingredients into some sort of bite-sized snack.

In fact, I almost thought they were the same as my last protein bite recipe but they weren’t — because this time I added banana.

What I really like about the addition of the banana is that it helps the other ingredients bind so nicely together to the point where you are free to adjust and use a little less peanut butter in this recipe if that’s something you are interested in doing.

If you ask me, the more peanut butter the better but hey, it’s your snack so who am I to judge.

Instructions
  1. Mashed banana in a bowl.
  2. Add in the rest of your ingredients and mix well.

  4. Refrigerate until firm.
  5. Store bites in airtight container in the refrigerator (or even freeze them!).

I love snack recipes like this because you can make them super fast and suddenly have a healthy portable treat available without having to reach for something that comes in a package.

Not all packaged snacks are terrible but I much prefer something fresh and lately, I much prefer every meal to somehow include Skoop. I don’t know what has happened to me, the girl who once avoided protein powders completely, is suddenly wrapped up in figuring out how to sneak Skoop into everything I make.

Skoop is currently offering 20% off their B-Lovely product now through Mother’s Day. I haven’t tried B Lovely yet but it is a superfood beauty blend made specifically to benefit our skin. Use code MCMAMA at checkout.

Next on my list of protein-packed snacks to make? Some sort of protein peanut butter cup. Easy enough, don’t you think? I just need to restock my chocolate for the recipe. My appetite this week has lead me directly to the chocolate chip department of my pantry.

I’ve been wanting to make something no bake with bananas but we never hape ripe ones lately, how annoying! I also have a whole lot of Skoop protein powder, go figure 🙂

Happy Mother’s Day to you! Have a great weekend 🙂

I’m still working my way through my beloved Earth Balance coconut/peanut crunchy. I ration that stuff because it is hard to find! But luckily, I think that my local grocery just started carrying it!

I used to ration Mighty Maple peanut butter because it was a little harder for me to restock every week! In fact, I am out of it now.

I also prefer making my own snacks whenever possible. Its a little more work but I am always glad to have something throughout the week! I still haven’t trip Skoop. I have been hearing about it for like a year and just never made the purchase.

I definitely recommend skoop if you are looking for a good protein powder. I never liked/used protein powder but now I can’t stop adding Skoop to everything.

You are absolutely KILLING IT with the peanut butter recipes. I don’t know how I missed the Samoa Cookie Dough Cups recipe before but consider those being made ASAP. I’m really loving Artisana cashew butter at the moment. They come in single serve packet sizes so it’s easy for me to pack with oatmeal for my afternoon snack at work.

Ohh my samoa recipes (the bark and the cookie dough cups) are so ridiculous, probably one of the best thing I have ever made! I really need to make the bark again.

all the bites! Seriously the biggest lifesaver and my favourite recipes to make…and more to come oops!

I made a protein peanut butter cup for my ebook and the key is using a really good protein powder! Skoop sounds perfect for it!

Cashew butter! And I’m crossing my fingers hoping to not die that I can run on Mother’s Day. That my hamstring and hip are better and I can run. The weather is gorgeous, and there is nothing I love more than running in the sun and having a beer on the patio afterwards. PLEASE Mother’s Day gods, let it be true.

Bananas are the loves of my life. But peanut butter is not 😛 Bites are seriously the perfect snack, though. Quick, easy, and SOOOO tasty. I still need to try Skoop…

I am not really a fan of packaged snacks. I would much rather eat snack bites like these! My favorite peanut butter right now is Trader Joes. Its pretty cheap too which makes it even better.
