You can learn a lot about a person based upon their web browsing history.
Personalities, interests, hobbies…all evident in what we search and google all day long.
And really, if you are given the opportunity to review someone’s browsing history, you may learn that this person may not be the best friend/partner/personality match for you.
I think this a genius idea concept. Like for dating sites? Job opportunities? Have a person reveal their browsing history.
No more resumes.
No more of this on-the-surface talk of this is where I went to school, this is what I am interested in…the real truth about a person lies within their search engine.
If you were to review my browsing history, here’s what you would find….
*Food*
I am always reading food blogs, Foodgawker and pinning recipes to my pinterest boards.
I love reading some good old-fashioned baking fun, locating new recipes and reading about the latest restaurant openings in the city.
I want to go to this restaurant because I read that they give you free mini chocolate chip cookies after your meal.
I finally bought a cast iron skillet by the way.
For now it just sits piled in with the rest of the pots and pans but I have been busy seeking out the recipes I will make when I decide to use it.
Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Baked Oatmeal – on my mind every day but I have yet to do it.
Skillet Chicken Tortilla Pie – for my son or maybe without the chicken.
Skillet Pizza – had a dream that I made it. Seriously.
Let’s be real here though, the first thing I should be making in this cast iron skillet is a giant cookie.
Iron Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie
Low Fat Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Deep Dish Skillet Cookie
Paleo Skillet Chocolate Chunk Cookie With Coconut Whipped Cream – I am not paleo but this looks terrific!
And I think you should make these recipes for Super Bowl Sunday:
Baked Ricotta With Dark Chocolate Sweet Potato Chips
Cranberry Balsamic Glazed Cauliflower Wings
Oatmeal Raisin Chocolate Chip Cookies
*Running*
Along with food I am probably googling up a random running question or checking out Runner’s World every few days.

*Clothes*
I prefer real life shopping in stores but sometimes take a peak around the web to compare products, find a deal, see what is new or to locate something I can’t find in the stores.
*I LOVE this ruched top from Banana Republic which I bought in the store last week. I got it 40% off and should have bought more. I have been looking online to order every color but I think the store actually had a larger variety.
*I am always searching the Lululemon We Made Too Much section too, hoping for a real deal and sometimes I find one.
*Random*
*I won’t bore you with the hockey stuff I read but I also try to stay current and educated by reading the news online every day.
*I don’t use my personal facebook account as I once did but if I have time in the evening, I give it a scroll which sometimes leads me to interesting article links…

And what I am currently googling this morning:
How to stop Mercury retrograde from affecting me.
Did you even know this was A THING?
I follow my horoscope but never knew about this Mercury thing but once I learned about the issues that occur during this Retrograde (hi, we are currently in it now until February 11), I turned to google to save me.
If you are laughing at me, it’s fine, my father basically did the same thing when I told him that I can’t upgrade my phone until Mercury stops spinning in retrograde because it affects technology and the google search told me so.
And by the way, should you encounter a person who routinely thinks to delete their browsing history from their computer (phones are different, too much browsing left open slows the phone and drains battery), major red flag.
Be sure to check out what everyone else is thinking(or googling) about today!

What are the top sites you google on a regular basis?
Do you read your horoscope?
Do you prefer shopping in stores or shopping online?
Shopping wise, I pretty much buy exclusively from deal sites (or when there are sales, or I just realllllly want something) but I browse said deal sites all the time without buying anything. Window shopper extraordinaire. But I love browsing at Target and such. Also, depends on what it is for..

I am a really good mall window shopper. Sometimes I don’t need a thing but it’s nice to look around.
I used to clear my browsing history on a regular basis when I still lived at home. I’m not even sure why, either. It’s not like I was looking up anything bad or like my parents ever checked. Private to a fault, I guess. And I usually shop in stores, but I’d actually love to make the switch to online. Being in malls tires me out. WAY too much stuff to look at in there — it’s exhausting.

But I can’t figure out for sure what I like by seeing it on a computer screen. Maybe I am old-fashioned. But yes, the mall can tire me out, especially if I go there in the hours after a long run. The worst.
Food and blogs are in my browsing history! I don’t have a preference as to wear I shop – I’ll go through phases where I prefer one over the other though.

It is so true that you can learn so much from a browsing history! I spend the majority of my time reading blogs and lately I have been reading every running article that was ever published about getting stronger glutes/hip related injuries. Whenever something is bothering me the topic pretty much takes over my internet searches.

Ugh, I hope you start to feel 100% soon.
I had no idea there was that section on Lulu – thanks for the new addiction! I might buy the wunder under. Also, glad you are dreaming of my skillet pizza 🙂
I will make that pizza eventually, it’s definitely on my list. And yes to the sale section. It’s final sale but worth it if you find something you already know you will like.
I always say everyone should have a best friend who has our passcode to our phone in case we die…they can clear our browsing history. Hahaha! Kidding…. ish. I can’t wait until Callum naps today so I can check out all those links!

I used to watch Lifetime movies when my son napped in the house. It wasn’t often (he was more of a carseat while the car is moving napper) but the few times in the in the house naps happened, I forced myself to sit and something I couldn’t watch when he was up!
Please tell me what your thoughts on on the cast iron once you put it to good use. Okay? 🙂
Definitely will!
I think browsing lululemon is like my drug when I just want to space out! Lululemon dominates my web browsing and for my husband it’s espn. We each have our thing we zone out to. Funny post! Also excited you got cast iron! I’ve been thinking about investing but haven’t pulled the trigger. Not sure I ever will!

I finally bought the skillet but it will sit for a while in the cabinet. It’s like I want to use it and at the same time, I don’t feel like dealing with something new.
Haha my search engine is so random, I’m sure. I’m looking up that restaurant with the cookies. We started planning out restaurants last night! (I’m going to email you back when I have some downtime between meetings this afternoon) Also cast iron skillet cookies are my jam. Actually, cookies of any kind are.

I haven’t been to this place – it’s in Union Square and I never heard of it either. I am willing to go and try it for the cookies! They also give some sort of terrific bread/roll/biscuit thing I heard when you sit down.
My browsing history has all the food and recipes and blogs, too. I frequent Mindbodygreen, Breaking Muscle, News sites, and, of course, Facebook.

Ha- great idea! Along with browsing history, make your spouse use super slow internet…that’s when you really know someone!
Mine would be “how to get my 9 month old to sleep longer”, “why does my baby still wake up all night long…” and so on 😉

Ha..I remember those days. My son was the worst sleep until around 11 months old – when I stopped bringing him into my room and stayed really tough with not catering to his whines from the crib as I had been. It wasn’t easy and I was a nursing mom but we both needed to sleep!
Oh goodness, that idea is genius. Before my next date I’ll require Browser histories of all potential candidates. Bonus points for good bands or oatmeal recipes 😉 .

I prefer shopping in stores because it spares me the disappointment of waiting for days and then finding what looked great online to be far off in reality.

I absolutely agree with you. 100% I cannot decide if I will like something based upon seeing it on the computer screen. Much prefer shopping in the stores.
I love my cast iron skillets…yes, I have multiples. Best cooking invention ever.
I really need to take it out of the cabinet then, don’t I.
