I have been up for a while watching the breaking news. One terrorist dead and the other on the loose. Public transportation in Boston shut down while they try to get’em.
I am confident they will catch him but wow, so scary. I hope that everyone in the Boston area stays safe and heeds the warning to stay in their homes.
Adidas is now selling Boston Stands as One athletic shirts with all proceeds going to One Fund Boston. Click on the image above to order yours today.
I also heard that Bic Bands will be coming out with a special headband to benefit the victims as well. As soon as I get the info, I will share it with you.
Do you see something wrong with the above circular?
Fairway is on to me. They must be following my blog.
In an attempt to throw me off, their unspoken regularly scheduled granny smith apple sale has been mysteriously switched this week to the gala apple.
To soften the blow, they put Peanut Butter & Co. Peanut Butter on a decent sale this week. Although the “select varieties” caption is NEVER a positive thing.
They are lucky I am feeling better today and in a decent mood because I have almost full use of my arm.
That would be my son’s signature. On our kitchen counter. He is lucky I am feeling better as well.
Why did he write on the counter?
He needed to “test out the pen to see if it worked.”
He asked me to make pancakes from scratch for breakfast with scrambled eggs. As a form of punishment, I made him Trader Joe’s frozen mini pancakes instead.

FAVORITE FRIDAY PRODUCT:
I thought it would be fun (and kind) of me to fill you in on a product (well two products actually) that I am loving lately.
Perhaps you will have the opportunity to pick them up over the weekend during your travels.
Whole Foods own brand, 365 Daily Facial Cleanser and Moisturizing Lotion is awesome.
It looks like Cetaphil right? But guess what – these bottles are free of all parabens and ingredients we don’t want in our products.
The cleanser is light, mild and gets the job done. My face is super soft and allergy free.
I just realized actually that the bottle says “Normal to Oily Skin” – my skin really isn’t oily, it is more sensitive. I can’t say that using this cleanser has dried me out at all though. I think they have a few varieties. I will have to check next time I go.
The body moisturizer is terrific, not greasy, not too thick and absorbs quickly into my skin.
As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I have been overhauling my personal hygiene products simply because I want everything made WITHOUT parabens and other toxic ingredients – for allergy and overall health/wellness reasons.
I will post more about my other new product finds next week, including new makeup finds.
It has been an amazing and eye opening experience to see what I have been throwing my money at all of these years.
The best part about both of these products:
EACH BOTTLE IS ONLY $5.99.
Who new one could score such a “deal” at Whole Foods?
Does my big blue bowl count as scoring a deal? I may now be the proud owner, but I did have to pay $18 for the salad that originated in in the bowl.
No, I can’t let it go that the salad last week cost me $18.
Oh well.
I am off to get the boy ready for school and myself ready for the gym- elliptical day.
I hope everyone has a great weekend and that the police catch this terrorist on the loose.
I need to know:
Do you wear Bic Bands? Does your hair stay in place?
What moisturizers and cleansers do you use?
I’ve been paying close attention to the news on Boston too. I’m glued to CNN. And I use oil of olay moisturizer because I grew up watching my mom use it. I usually use an apricot scrub as a cleanser. I’m not actually sure if either product is paraben free, now I must check!
My son and I are glued to tv too. Thankfully he isn’t any more afraid than me and can seem to process news like this ok…check those bottles at your own risk lol. I’m pretty confident you will be choosing something new…

I’m so glad your arm is feeling better!!
I am definitely getting one of those shirts too- love it!
2 for 5 pb & co pb.. I totally would have stocked up =)
I know, right? I was so angry though – they put all of the varieties on special display yet Mighty Maple and rest of flavors on the display weren’t 2 for 5 – it was 2 for 7. I was so so angry! False advertising lol
I love to use Mario Badescu products which are paraben free and an economical prestige skin care line that you can find online, at Ulta and Nordstrom’s, or go to their Manhatten location. I’ve been using it for 15 years and I have sensitive skin. It cleared up some minor adult acne and has a mild scent that doesn’t irritate me.
I should try his line again. I once used something from him and it dried my skin but that was years ago…I recently switched to using (and am loving) Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare facial moisturizer and eye cream…I doubt I will ever spend more on the cleanser and body moisturizer now that I found the Whole Foods brand for so cheap lol. But who knows. I like to switch it up on occasion.
I’m not sure what product you used. But they have such a variety I’m sure they could recommend something that won’t dry you out. I go for the oil free moisturizer and cellufirm, as well as strawberry face scrub, enzyme cleansing gel, ceramide eye cream/gel, and cucumber cleansing toner
