Weekend Stuff Per Picture

You need this adorable shirt from Target…

I hope Target comes out with more sweet inspired tops like this! So much cheaper than the Wild Fox versions in Bloomingdales.

Would you believe I roasted all of these potatoes and vegetables to bring to my parents house for Passover and I didn’t sample any of it while it was cooking?!

roasted vegetables and potatoes

This is a REALLY BIG DEAL. I am the queen of snacking on the food in the oven while I cook it!

Each and every diced up potato, cauliflower and brussels sprout you see above transferred directly to the below containers.

With the arrival of April came the desire to whip out my Fruit Infusion pitcher again.

So far we have only made mandarin orange water because mandarin oranges are what we have in abundance but as soon as summer fruit season hits and the pricing is acceptable, we will be getting more creative.

My son loves picking the fruit flavor combinations and it’s definitely a great way to drink more water.

Matzoh in the house for the week means there are crumbs everywhere.

I have to talk my son into my amazing matzoh brei this week instead of boring boards of matzoh with jelly since preparing matzoh brei involves soaking the matzoh which alleviates the crumbly mess.

The first baseball game of my son’s Little League season is this coming Saturday so thankfully most of the of the snow has melted in time for the fields to be clear and ready.

My view from the car the other morning while watching practice. Did I ever mention my son is an awesome baseball player? He is and he DOES NOT get it from me.

Seriously. I watch sports, I do not play them.

My month was made when I received this email notification from Panera the other day.

free panera coffee

Can you believe it?! A free cup, every single day, no strings attached!

You better believe I am making it my mission to stop in to a Panera every day this month even if I won’t be eating or working from there AND even if I have already had three cups of coffee at home.

I will just fill up a cup to fill up the cup.

My month was also made when I found out that my very personal post which I shared with you a few weeks ago was featured on BlogHer last week.

Gosh.  I can’t even get over the immediate viral effect of that post and how it just keeps going!

Over and over I am reminded why I am so glad that I shared such a personal situation not only to make myself feel better but to help others possibly going through similar situations.

A lot of the time, it’s the posts I hesitate to publish that end up doing the best… even if that’s just some nonsense recipe I don’t even think is that great. Congrats on all the success of that post! It was a good one 🙂

I love matzoh brei and kugel! I bought gluten free matzoh so I’m good to go 🙂 I have great memories of my grandpa making it for all of us the last Sunday of passover and it was a huge deal. My kids do like it luckily but they’re also all over the jelly combo too.

My mother in law makes the best matzoh kugel (loaded with fruit, no wonder I adore it). It’s so good that I have never even tried to replicate it! I can’t imagine I would come close lol.

That took courage to share your life on that post and so many people will be inspired by not only your courage but by the healthy way you handled the whole situation. A free coffee every day sounds like the perfect reward. 🙂

I’m really impressed by your non-veggie eating skills! haha. we made so many roasted veggies for Seder but I totally ate like 1/4 of them before the meal! I had matzoh brei for brekky this morn – so good!
